SUMMARY: According to Steve McNair's agent, Bus Cook, McNair will be traded to the Baltimore Ravens at some point today. He says the Titans and Ravens have discussed trade possibilities today. "I think there will be a trade done some time today, probably sooner than later," Cook said. "McNair is aware of the talks. He'll be fine to move on. The Ravens are a very competitive team. He can take them to the Super Bowl."

What do you think about this article? Post your comments below.

While cook is running his mouth and ESPN follows cooks rumor spreading, Fisher said that "while at this point he can't confirm or deny any rumors he said it's very unlikely that Mcanir will be released or traded."
I'll have to side with fisher until somethign comes set in stone...
I won't believe anything that comes from Cooks *&^% talking mouth or ESPN for that matter. and for everyone saying don't let the door hit him on the way out, where does that leave the team.. With Kerry Collins???? VY can't start this year and be sucessful, Maybe next year but why does it make sense to bring in another Old QB who doesn't know the offense or the system over Mcnair who knows it better then anyone, We NEED Mcnair to have a shot at anything this year. restruture the Fuc*&^$ deal and lets get into Camp and start getting ready for the season...

with Billy Volek
might as well let Billy take over and sling it around to build his value back up, so at the very least we receive a high compensatory pick for him - or at best someone ponies up something more tangible for him

It makes sense because Mc-No-Air isnt worth the money he would get against our cap this year. besides if people actually think we have a shot at anything this year are IMO not being realistic. Collins isnt that good either but i would take him any day over #9 . IMO the team is setting up for next year to make a run with Vince Young . Hey Steve , do you need any help moving ?

Very NICe
some of you classless idiots forget the pain and agony and blood and tears this man shed for your entertainment

don't take into account that Steve restructured his contract every other year so that we could continue to resign scrubs who contribute fractions of the effort that he did

Floyd and Steve restructured his deal so many times, we're lucky that it's only costing us this much

Have some pucking respect. We probably would never had sniffed a Super Bowl or 2 AFC Championships without him

theres nothing for the titans to get in return for mac unless its a 2007 1st and 3rd rounder

You can't be serious, can you?

Somebody else wants Cmac?

McNair and the Ravens are in the drivers seat with this one.

You need cap room in a big time way!!
McNair by all accounts to date wants out in a big time way!!

If he really wanted to stay, restructuring Again wouldn't be an issue.

The only rush the Ravens would be in is to get McNair here early to participate in mini camps, etc.

How bad they want that remains to be seen, but it definitely won't be for a freakin' 1st and 3rd round pick, and won't include one of the top cornerbacks in the league.

Think more along the lines of a thrird round pick plus maybe a conditional late round pick in the 2007 draft at best.

If the Titans were smart, they would jump on what ever we are offering now, rather then wait until they have to cut him to sign their draft picks due to cap restrictions.

Then again, you drafted Vince Young over Leinhart so who knows what your owner is thinking!!

BS

you take a pay cut every month and then see how you feel about doing it again at Christmas time

This is not Steve's doing, it's his agents

but in a way, they're in the right
Mc was promised to one day get this money
it's now time to pay the piper andd everyone wants to place the curse on Mac, which is ridiculous

this situation is so much diffeent than Eddie's

Puck, you act like he has lost money..he hasn't!! He has been paid very well by the Oilers/Titans. He played hard and he got paid well. That's football

Classless idiots ??? , lol , i take into every account that steve helped this team every year with his cap number. and he was paid millions for all his blood , sweat and tears. so he gets no pitty party from me. he is at the end of his career and still thinks he can play at a high level for high pay. but thats fine , if he can get it , go for it , just not in tennessee. "hit the road jack , and dont ya come back no more , no more ................"

He did get his money. Everytime he restructed he got more bonus money (see $13mill in dead money right now).

And McNair was never supposed to get the $50mil bonus or the $9mill salary, he was either to get a new contract, traded or released/retired.

Bahahahahahaha!!!

Yeah right.
Like McNair doesn't have a say in this?

You think his agent would be doing this without McNairs consent?

You think Ray Lewis' agent is doing the same thing up here without Ray approving it?

Difference being is that we can afford to hold Ray hostage if we want, so he either shuts up and plays, or sits out.

Unlike Mcnair, Ray knows this.

Mcnair knows he has an out, and is taking full advantage of it.

You cannot keep Mcnair under his current contract...PERIOD!!!

Ray Lewis is welcome to walk into the front door of our training complex and participate in what ever activitys he chooses.

Your owner is probably nervous about McNair walking into the bathroom and possibly slipping on a wet floor right about now.

I'm going to miss everything 'Air' McNair did for us in the last 10 years!

I wish him all the success wherever he goes, but WHY the Ravens!
He can throw passes to his favourite target Mason!

Does that include stabbing people? (Sorry had to say it)
