During the game on TV they said that the Titans were "enamored" with Jay Cutler. Being out here in Arizona I have never seen him play. Is he that good? What are his strengths and weeknesses? Thanks!!

He played for Vanderbilt. Because of Cutler, they had a chance to play in a bowl game but it didn't happen. They almost beat Florida and they did beat Tennessee. He's a smart player, good reactions.
Would I take Cutler over Vince Young or Rivers? I don't think I would. Who knows what the Titans are going to do.
I'm wondering if the Titans have looked at Penn States QB, Robinson.

The media threw alot of names around that the Titans were suposedly "enamored" with last season and we didn't draft a single one of them. One was Reggie Brown, WR from Georgia, but that was a matter of him going in the second to the Eagles before we had a chance to grab him. Point is, the Media are shootin blanks and don't know who the Titans are "enamored" with. Jay isn't bad and many compare him to Favre.

I don't think the Titans would spend a 1st round on Cutler. Do you think he'll be there in the second?
If the Titans manage to pull off a trade for Rivers, would they still take Cutler if available? I'm assuming that Volek will go some place else. I am forgetting about Mauke(?) whom I don't know much about. Will he still be around in 2006?

Jay Cutler + Matt Jones = 1st round pick.

In Jay Cutler's case it means top tier 1st round pick.
Plus millions of more dollars.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone.

Cutler is a good QB prospect but I'm not convinced yet that he goes in the first. There's a lot of hype about him in Nashville because he is local. Let's see how he does at the Senior Bowl and combine.

Even Mel Kiper wrote an article recently suggesting he'd be in the top half of round 1 (though I'm not willing to pay to read it).

The guys on TV also said that the Titans are bringing McNair back and that Chow and McNair are looking to have a long a fruitful relationship...I have such a hard time taking anything CBS commentators say seriously anyways.

Sometimes I think they troll fan forums like this one for their so called "news".

Besides, and please take this seriously because I'm not joking...
The Titans F.O. are notorious B.S'ers...you never know what they are really thinking. When it comes to stuff like this it's all poker face.

around the second week of april listen to chris mortenson. he nailed the pacman pick and that we would take troupe the past two years.

Morttie's the only guy worth listening to. Mel Kiper is nothing but phoney, even his hair's phoney.

Kiper is good at player analysis, he's just not good at picking team needs and what they will do.

I think if we decide we want Jay and hes gonna be our guy that we should take him no matter where we draft at. If you think someone is gonna be the future of your team at QB you have take them when your number is called. Jay has size, arm stregth, brains, toughness, and deceptive speed. Ive watched the guy play almost every game for 4 years so I'm somewhat biased but I do believe he was what it takes.

I agree with SK, he is a good evaluator of talent. He is one of the few personalities at ESPN that I actually like.
