The cap is hurting the nfl product. They need two caps. One for the skill positions and one for everything else. No team can function like this.

Especially when it's a crapshoot on which one will develop. There's rarely a "sure thing" in drafting a QB, and there isn't one of those candidates this year.
I’ll go with strongest arm and guy that isn’t the size of spud Webb. Plus, it’s a known rule that you always eliminate Ohio St QBs from the running.

And it doesnt matter which QB is taken, if one is, I dont want to see them in 2023 outside the sideline shots holding a clipboard.

Why?
Aren’t there like 4 QBs being hyped?
I don’t think TN has to trade anything to get a rookie QB.
Seems like Levis is QB4 these days and I don’t like him. Watched him plenty last year and didn’t impress. There’s probably 5 teams that need a QB in front of us. I think you’ll need to trade up to grab one and trading in the top 10 usually requires multiple 1sts

Just curious about how we can manage that? Not that I would go there at all, but our hit on Tammy is yuge, and to pay next to top money on top of that is impossible. Someone please explain getting around his cap hit. His dead cap is near $19,000,000. That’s dead cap. Lol, it’s nonsense to speak of such things. I can see trading him, but that’s a complete pipe dream, because there ain’t a team that will pull that line.
You’d have to find a trade partner for Tanny. There’s plenty of teams that need a QB so I don’t think it’s impossible. Lamar’s cap hit can be lower in the first year due to a signing bonus.

I understand it’s a lot of freaking money to throw at him. But look at the deals Carr and Jones just signed. If your QB is just average you are shelling out $40M+. Lamar is a great football player and someone that can also put fans in the stands

I bet 2 QBs are available at 11 of the 4 hyped.

stroud will be gone, Young will be gone. Richardson and Levis will probably both be available.

As far as Jackson goes, basically the same thing as the rookie QBs, if the team feels he is the guy that takes them over the top to win the SB, gonna have to give up tons. If he’s not that guy (I don’t think he is) then you don’t even bother to look in his direction.
