Regarding Burks, based on his in-season inaction, is there any chance that at 23 he's considering retirement?
At this point he does not deserve a roster spot, even if we still owe him money.
@HurrayTitans! pointed out long ago that DHop fully replaced his production here. Infuriating that Blue Tent Wheezy couldn’t produce anything out there.
He deserves one more off season and season to see if he can get his shit together. But if someone offered something of value he should be traded.
I don’t care how emotional you are about it and how it went down but it isn’t his fault the Titans drafted him where they did. The expectations for him have been crushing. Concussions arent some sort of lack of heart. But his dropped pass in the last Houston game was huge. No telling how that game ends up if we catches that and scores there.
He should get a chance to succeed. He has the physical skills to do it.
