I'd trade Lewan for a 12oz coke and a bag of doritos (cool ranch or spicy nacho) and feel like I robbed someone.

Fake tough guy. I can't think of a game he hasn't went down in for at least a play. Dudes always ending up on the turf coming up lame. This has been going on well before the acl injury.

He spends more time talking trash on his podcast than he spends on the field.

Perhaps trade him for a serviceable tight end because our current TEs are a joke.
I kind of supported him back when he was only giving I’ll-timed 15 yard penalties. Liked his attitude and him wanting to bully some defenses.

Now, he’s turned in to a big softy and even worse, he still gives 15 yards but in the fashion of just allowing a defender to tee off on Tannehill.
I’m glad there’s footage of him eating s**t from guys literally half his size.

There is no justification for him to be on this team anymore. Not only is he waaaay overpaid, but he is arguably the biggest liability on the OL. At least Nate Davis is still getting paid like some random 3rd round pick.

Lewan was the only tackle that we put out there that could even get their hands on Huff.

Quesenberry and 70 that came in for Lewan aren't even good enough to hold people.

Here are the draft picks JRob has made at o-line since he's been here. The one player he hit on, he let walk in free agency. Nate Davis has been ok, but definitely taken a step back this year. Wilson was a bomb and Radunz, though it's too early to say for sure, looks like he might turn out the same way. He was a healthy scratch yesterday when there were 5 injured players on the inactive list!

2016: Jack Conklin, Sebastian Tretola
2017: Corey Levin, Brad Seaton
2019: Nate Davis
2020: Isaiah Wilson
2021: Dillon Radunz

Yeah Lewan hasn’t been very good at all this year. But let’s learn from the Conklin situation. It took Jack over a year to start playing at a high level again. The reason we didn’t pick up his option is because the year after his ACL tear he was not very good.

Now we are all wishing he was back. I’m getting fed up of Lewan’s antics too but I’d hold onto him for another year. Finding LT’s are hard. TS & Lamm have been even worse than Lewan when he’s been out.

sadly this is the way to go

Not a good play by quesenberry either.
5 guys blitzed and for whatever reason he tried to double at RG then try to push out to the outside after.
I guess he may have thought the outside guy wasn’t coming but he sure lined up like he was going to.

I think Quessenberry was expecting at least a chip by the TE there.

I think that was a well designed blitz. If anything I thought it looked like the LB was coming, not the corner. Horrible either way, but at least Q was caught off guard. Lewan was face to face with his guy and got beat baaaaad. No slants, no tricks, no disguise, no extra defender. He got straight up ole'd by the guy right in front of him.

Oh yea, he's also getting paid $11M and Q is less than one.

I understand he's coming off a torn ACL, and people are giving Conklin as an example, but that's one example. Another example... Adrian Peterson rushed for 2k yards after a torn ACL and MCL, and he suffered the injury in December. Either you're ready to play, or you're not. If he's not ready, he shouldn't play. Having him out there, looking like this, is inexcusable.

Tough situation for the coaching staff. People wanted to keep Conklin but the decision on his 5th year option was made when he was coming off a bad year after his ACL. Now Lewan is in his bad year from his ACL.

Quess for the most part is holding his own at RT and did an honorable job playing LT last year. I agree, if Lewan keeps playing bad they might need to IR him and make some changes. Lamm has also been a disappointment and I'm not sure where he is with his injury. If he could hold down RT we could move Quess over to LT.

Either way without AJ and Julio out there we didn't have the option of max protect with the expectation someone could make a play. Firkser missed a great chance to win the game. A bad snap took away a chance in the red zone.

Tannehill threw for almost 300 yards and Henry ran for 157. As putrid as the sacks were the offense we moved the ball but just too many missed opportunities.

More concerning are the big plays by the defense.

With the OL playing so poorly I teally question the lack of rollouts being called for Tannehill. Its something hes always been good at and gets him out of the pocket where hes speed becomes a threat.

Its something Lafleur and Smith did and Im concerned that Downing is dialing it back

There's been a couple of PA roll outs that got Tannehill destroyed this season, this OL just can't pass block.

I'd like to see more FB. Blasingame is sneakily athletic. Feels like a neglected tool. Also, Carter looks like he might be a good blocker. Not sure why we called him up for one game and barley used him. Either way, put someone else in who can block please.

Unless he comes back from this injury and just balls out the rest of the way, seems like Lewan is the first guy that's gonna be cut this spring. Either that, or he will have to agree to a massive restructure. Saves 11 million against the cap.

Obvious issue is who replaces him? Only LTs worth a damn heading into FA is Armstead and may be Brown (realistically the Chiefs will likely resign him). I like Armstead a lot. And Duane Brown is also an option.

Conklin was also like 23/24 when he was recovering from his torn ACL. Lewan is 30 now. Expecting him to get back to a top level seems foolhardy. I'm not opposed to bringing him back if he'll agree to take a massive pay cut. But that 11 million could be used on someone better, like Armstead.

Lewan has been playing at a high level these last few weeks though… be careful what you wish for. You’ve seen what happens to our QB behind bad OT’s.

I know the Lewan injury looked bad being carted off the field, but if it's just a concussion he could clear protocol and play this week. May be a long shot but I bet he's back and not out for too long.

Also, I almost think Lamm looks like a guard than a tackle. I wonder if he'd be any better than how Nate Davis has been playing lately?

He played OK vs NYJ. Gave up a bad sack a couple pressures, but overall was good. But he was dreadful in the running game, according to PFF. 45 PFF grade in the run game against NYJ.

Entire OL played great against the Jags.
