Now on to sightings and observations? Cleveland and Carolina were the most active in terms of having their scouts interview prospects. The Browns were seen talking to Jay Cutler.

oh, hell no ......
I really doubt he goes there, Frye is their guy. Frye was descent in his starts as a rookie(he was tons better than Alex Smith)

"Virginia Tech's Darryl Tapp had a lot of trouble going up against Daryn Colledge while Tamba Hali was singled out by coaches numerous times and given instructions and advice."

i can hear washburn from here.

Senior Bowl

I have watched the past 2 days of practice and currently watching todays north practice and tha five players that have stood out to me so far are:

1. The Brick OT Virginia - The guy has dominated. He looks like he has telephone poles for arms. Has made Mathias Kiwanua look silly at times.

2. Tye Hill CB Clemson - Has speed to burn. Can cover like a blanket. Made a nice one handed INT in Mondays practice and just watched him make another on Cutler today. Great week so far

3. Broderick Bunkley DT Florida St.- Looks to to be very agile for a man his size. Stuffs the run. Rushes the passer well from the DT position

4. D. Williams RB Memphis - Looks like he has proved to be a quality back as projected. Has shed some weight and added some extra burst. Showed good vision.

5. D. Ryans LB Auburn - Has practiced wel in all drills that i have witnessed. Seems to be making plays all over.

Two players that have not practiced well as of yet are:

1. D. Hagans WR Arizona St. - Dont know that the guy has caught a ball yet. I think he has hurt hias stock so far.

2. J. Avant WR Michigan - Has not practiced well. Has not shown any flashes of brilliance that was evident at Michigan. I say that and just a moment ago he makes a very nice diving catch in the endzone. He will need to show a little more of that.

These are just my personal views of this weeks practices. For all Cutler fans out there, he has a cannon for a arn but i question his sights. I dont really think he has stood out enough to be a top ten pick.

this is now the 4th Senior Bowl Practice thread started this week

I started the first one
then FightinTitan
then Jeff

we'd probably all benefit from all this if we kept it all under one thread

--- good job though ----

Wednesday's South team highlights

QB's-
At quarterback Brodie Croyle was once again the class of the position, although I'm not sure how much that is saying considering Darrell Hackney has not stood out and D.J. Shockley continues to really struggle.

RB's -
At running back DeAngelo Williams has been excellent all week long and that didn't change today, while Jerious Norwood showed exceptional hands as a receiver out of the backfield.

One of the biggest stories of the week has been the emergence of (NC State DE) Manny Lawson and that continued today as he showed freakish ability and even picked off a screen pass from Darrell Hackney. The guy really is a marvel and is making himself a lot of cash in Mobile

At linebacker I really wanted to take a long look at Alabama's DeMeco Ryans and when I watched him in 7-on-7's he was almost invisible. That changed in a hurry though when they went to 11-on-11's and Ryans was simply everywhere and was seemingly in on every play.

Haven't figured out Ryans yet myself. Not good in drills. Good in games. Wouldn't mind if he fell a bit, like into the second.

D'Qwell Jackson hasn't stood out yet, has he? He could be there.

Max Jean-Gilles is working himself into round one I think.

After getting coverage of the Senior Bowl

It would be hard to pass on D'Brickashaw Ferguson... just to dominate. I woudn't mind the scenario of plucking Ferguson w/the 3rd over all pick and following up with Charlie Whitehurst or Brodie Croyle in the 2nd or 3rd round. That being said... Cutler was definately creating value in the top 10.

I saw a lot of Brick in the one on one drills. It sure looks like he is a man among boys.

Boy he is some kind of fast too.

Imagine the Raiders with Robert Gallery and D'Brickashaw Ferguson ....
