Those at the scene said a large man, later identified as Mr. Weaver, punched the woman, Demetria Navjelis. Mr. Weaver was not at the scene when officers arrived. Ms. Navjelis was checked by a medic and released.

...

Before leaving the bar, Mr. Weaver “stated to other officers on scene that he had no problem hitting a female if they needed it,” according to the complaint.

This guy could break Isaiah Wilson's record for rookie snaps played!

Either the Titans knew and didn't care, or the scouting department is truly incompetent.

I'd imagine it’s the latter in this instance, didn’t do a through enough background check

It happened right around the draft so could’ve slid under the radar but also could’ve been a reason why he slipped in the draft.

Hopefully he didn't do it and it is nothing.

One witness said she saw Mr. Weaver punch Ms. Navjelis. Another witness said she did not see Mr. Weaver punch Ms. Navjelis but did see her fall to the ground. Officer Anderson O’Kelly noted in the complaint that he observed no injury consistent with a punch to the head.

Seriously? You can't just not know this happened. We do our homework on injuries, but it's like we don't look at character at all. Even Simmons had an issue. No excuse for this.

The complaint was filed on Friday. It's very likely teams didn't even get notified of this before Saturday.
