Aren't they just testing the unvaccinated and a few randoms? And otherwise testing people that are symptomatic. There is a significant chance that the vaccinated players testing positive are symptomatic.
 
There is a whole Covid thread in the lounge. Go there to talk about you cockamamie conspiracy theories and what not.

Back to the topic, I think there is definitely a chance we get most if not all of these guys back by Sunday.
 
The fact they are still using the PCR machine test is stupid. It lost the EUA and the inventor himself said the machine wasn't made to detect virus, who happened to die coincidentally before all this started. Also the tests are getting cycles 35 times or more which has been know that anything above 20 will have a higher chance of producing false positives. False postives=your asymptomatic people, cuz they're not sick. Wanna keep your star players on the field NFL? Quit testing.

agree folks should stay on topic. Interesting the CDC now has cut the isolation rate in half for a more transmissible mutation in vaxed persons. That should help return several guys in time.

But disagree with your description of “cockamamie theories and what not”. A lot of prior policies will be under scrutiny in the next 5-10 year period.

The topic of this thread is players with Covid lol...the cockamamie comment should go to the lounge

Almost all of these guys are vaxxed, they are asymptomatic and are at zero risk from this virus which seems to be getting weaker with each mutation.

And so much for “get the jab to stop the spread” BS, or “95% efficacy”. It seems like just as many vaxxed people are getting the virus if not more so than the none vaxxed at this point.

Testing vaxxed players that are asymptomatic which makes no sense

  • If a vaccinated player or team member tests positive for COVID-19 and is asymptomatic, they will be isolated and contract tracing will promptly occur.

Stay on topic. Any personal beliefs or political opinions on COVID needs to go to the COVID thread. Those made here will lead to a thread ban and possible ban from the entire board.
