Boy, those coverage stats are terrible. Time for a new DB coach.

I’m pretty sure Simmons is our best 1st round pick in the past decade.

Other @KingHenry_2 stats, per @NextGenStats:

-Faced 8-plus defenders in box on 41% of carries

-Averaged 2.66 seconds behind line of scrimmage per carry, 6th-best among RBs in Week 6.

-Posted rushing efficiency of 2.39, 2nd-best Week 6. (Lower numbers mean RB is going North/South.

The Titans are ranked 2nd in the NFL in total offense (yards), and 2nd in scoring.

The Titans defense is ranked 27th (yards allowed) and 15th in points allowed.

Titans ' yardage rankings

2nd in offense, 4th in run, 11th in pass

22nd in defense, 26 vs. run, 28th vs. pass

They were 16th in offense last week -- 14 spot jump!

I saw this and assumed that was actually a low number so I looked up these occasions. I actually only found 6 such games in franchise history:
1. 17 Dec 1961 47-16 win over Raiders
Blanda 18/31 350 4 2, billy Cannon 21 for 145, hennigan 5 for 123 and Dewveall 3 for 108.

2. 29 Nov 1987 51-27 loss to Ind
Moon 24/44 327 3 2, mike Rozier 26 for 122, Drew Hill 7 for 134

3. 6 Sep 1992 29-24 loss to Pitt
Moon 29/45 330 2 5, Lorenzo white 13 for 100, Jeffires 7 for 117

4. 29 nov 08 20-17 win over Arz. (The VY game)
VY 27/43 387 1 0, CJ 18 for 154, Britt 7 for 128

5. 8 Dec 2019 42-21 win over Oak
THill 21/27 391 3 1, Henry 18 for 103, AJ Brown 5 for 153

6. 27 Sep 2020 31-30 win over Min
THill 23/37 321 0 1, Henry 26 for 119, Raymond 3 for 118.

I also came across 6 games in which the QB 300 yards was split but had 100 yd RB and WR - 3x 1961, 1x 1979, 1x 1998, 1x 2016.

Not sure if the “8th” occurrence is a typo or I just couldn’t find the games.
Sunday against the Texans is game #7 with such stat lines:
THill - 30/41 364 4/1
Henry - 22 for 212 and 2 TD
Firkser- 8 for 113 and 1 TD

Yesterday was a franchise record with 601 total offensive yards.
The impressive part I saw was 6 TD drives and the shortest was 71 yards.

80, 71, 85, 94, 76, 82.
No takeaways meant they played the long field all day.
Best starting position of the day was own 29.
Kind of a strange stat:
Titans had 3 drives that netted 1 yd, 0 yds, and -21 yds.
1 drive was 56 yards, all 7 other drives were 71 yards or more.
the only 3 and out was the opening drive, the other 2 were TO.

just an absolutely impressive offensive showing.

I was bored at work today but today is The birthday of former standout Titans TE Taylor Thompson.
Just a small piece of the GREAT draft work Ruston Webster did for us.

Imagine if we didn't run tosses. At lest I only recall 1 from this game.

Rushing Yards through 5 Games:

420 | Adrian Peterson (2012 – 2,097 yds)

468 | Chris Johnson (2009 – 2,006 yds)

498 | Eric Dickerson (1984 – 2,105 yds)

588 | Derrick Henry

2,000 yard watch is officially on.
