Will BC make it through next season?

I'm not 100% sold on Wilson either, especially as a HC.

The defense has been way better than the offense and special teams obviously. But still nothing great. They allowed 34 point in one half of football. So they suffered a major collapsed too. Wilson is off to a "decent" start and I would expect that he"ll get better as time goes on, especially if the offense can actually stay on the field and not leave the defense on the hook all day. But wouldn't hand him the keys just yet either.

Oh, and I'm quickly turning sour on BC at the top of the food chain. He seems clueless on how to make adjustments, how to elevate players, how to maximize his roster, call plays, get the team to play hard, etc.

At least with Vrabel, if we laid an egg, we were almost certain the next game they would come out firing and usually bounce back into shape. Even with much less talented rosters. This team has continually gotten worse as the year has progressed. Players are regressing, that is usually the result of incompetent coaching. It's still early, I'm not going to call for BC head just yet. But I'm not seeing any signs that he has what it takes. I'm getting more like a Josh McDaniels type of vibe. Except McDouch actually had experience successfully calling plays before he landed a HC job.

I’m not even sure Carthon is going to make it to next season, considering this is his 2nd season and he’s done nothing but lose. And if you fire him, then you need to just clean house at that point and let the new GM hire his own coach.
Carthon has stunk it up worse than anybody. Let DH22 walk to the ratbirds, about to send DH off to try to get back the draft capital, drafted Levis (who I think is ok) and left RT essentially unaddressed. This franchise is an embarrassment.

I think there are places to attack Carthon for sure but I don’t think letting DH22 walk is one, because I don’t think DH22 wanted to be in TN.
I also think RT was one of many, many holes. Between spending tons to fill other holes, I don’t think a RT was really available.

I will absolutely knock the BC hiring and the way the offense hasn’t done anything to shift to anything as was expected.
Ridley and Sneed have both under performed considering what was spent on them. There is also no pass rush.

Plenty to knock Ran for, I just kind of disagree with your selections. I also think the 24’ draft, as of now, doesn’t look bad.

Maybe they were expecting that RT to start that retired right before the season started. I don’t remember his name. Either way that side of the line is horrible you would think Callahan the goat offensive line coach could plug someone in over there and make them better. But here’s to a first round Right Tackle!!

Honestly, I don’t think so at this point. The team hasn’t even looked competitive against decent competition this year. That’s usually a death knell for a coach, especially considering the amount of money we spent in the off-season.

Going back to the coach thread in that other forum....
I actually thought Callahan was the logical choice, and I stated that. And to be honest, I still do think it was the right choice. He is a smart guy. He will turn out to be a good NFL head coach at some point. He has that Matt Lafleur vibe. The question is will we choose to stick with him during this transition. I'm not sure. No right or wrong answer there. This team is just not good. He is not doing well right now. But a good QB and a few more good players will make him look like a genius. Will we acquire those pieces. I don't know. Probably not. It's a timing thing and this just may not be the right timing for him. All we can hope for us that we somehow end up with the right combo of players and coaches at some point.
