How short are his arms? If it does not look like his hands are peeking out from under his shoulder pads then most of these reports are bunk. I mean, I read one questioning if he can put a cup of water to his lips!

  • Wingspan: 79 1/2″
  • Arm: 32 1/4″
  • Hand: 10″
  • 40-Yard Dash: 5.16 seconds
  • 10-Yard Split: 1.75 seconds
  • Vertical Jump: 34.5″
  • Broad Jump: 9’7″
  • 3-Cone Drill: 7.8 seconds
  • Bench Press: 30 reps

He had no trouble playing LT at a very high level in college. His technique and athleticism compensate for the 2” differential in arm length the scouts love.

My wife says an extra 2" doesn't matter if you have the right technique and finish strong.... so guess I've got something in common with Skoronski

Hey can someone text into Stillman for me today since I’m out of the country and can’t text him? Yesterday he kept talking about what position Skoronski would play. Guard or Tackle. Here’s what I wanted to message him:

During the draft a different tackle was selected and the person on stage reading the card introduced them as a guard. One of the announcers asked Daniel Jeremiah why they introduced him as a guard instead of a tackle when they read his name. DJ said that the TEAM selecting the player actually writes down the position on the card, and that’s how you know how they foresee the player playing for them. Skoronski was announced as a tackle.

So you mean the Titans were not stupid enough to use pick 11 and announce they used that pick for a guard? I mean, thats something I guess, but I wouldnt have announced to the world I just used an 11 pick for a guard either, that would be embarrassing AF.

Quentin Nelson went 6th overall and no one cared. Worked out well. The only people that care about picking a guard in the 1st round are Titans fans who remember Chance Warmack. But remember that Warmack NEVER looked like a Skoronski type prospect. The Titans reached and it worked out poorly.
They are not the same. Move on :)

Gotta agree

Hammer won’t be pleased to hear that….

I think the plan may be to use him to plug the biggest hole. Based on his athleticism, size, and understanding of the game, he can play anywhere across the line similar to the way Bruce Matthews was used during his career. His versatility to be a very good player at any spot on the OL worthy of his selection.

As it stands today, LG is probably the biggest hole we have on paper. But if we get into camp and it turns out that Dillard just isn't working at LT they may decide to flip him there. Or if there's an injury at either tackle spot, I'd expect Skoronski to be the first guy they kick outside.

I have issues with some other picks in the draft, but Skoronski was absolutely the correct pick at #11.
