Different places use different language but “deferring” would generally mean you just don’t make your payment but interest keeps accruing. Doing this for multiple months is going to really screw up people’s amortization and it will end up taking several extra months to pay off.
We are letting people defer payments but letting the accrued interest for those deferred payments be pushed to the end of the loan. This keeps the amortization closer to the original which will save the customer in interest expenses.
Sounds like no bonus for Toby this year then
