Hopes and wishes generally have some basis in evidence. They might not be certain he will contribute, but to keep him on the roster they have to believe it is worth it, and for it to be worth he has to have a reasonable chance to play and contribute.

Even if Adoree comes back in the playoffs (I have my doubts) he’s not going to be in game shape. He may do more harm than good in a lose and done playoff game. That would scare me.
