I’ve done a 72 hour fast 3 times.

It kinda sucks, and if I didn’t have to work, wouldn’t have been able to do anything. Didn’t feel comfortable driving.

48 was really not bad. The first day was nothing. I can do 24 now without any issue.

I probably made it until about 54 before I gave in.

I could do 72 but I need to be alone. With the stress of family and kids it’s ass.

I discovered back during the Fall it’s way easier for me to just not eat than eat healthy all the time. Like I’m going to eat shitty stuff. I love food. Taking a few days off a week from eating altogether seems like a viable solution tbh. I can maintain this.

I was eating healthy and then I’d eat an entire pizza. Fuck up everything.

Now if I eat an entire pizza I just don’t eat for a day or so afterwards

Once I got to the 55+ hour mark, things got weird. I honestly felt high, and I was making sure I was keeping my electrolytes up. Once I got to the start of that third day, I was making sure I had no other obligations. Literally as soon as I ate, the feeling went away.

Incredible energy, I think I was sleeping like 6 hours, and waking up fully rested. Incredible alertness, all sorts of stuff. I believe everything that experience fasters say, and I absolutely see the benefits. It is just a lot of work to do it correctly, and safely.

I can't do IF, even though I would like to. I have to stick to strict keto. If I cheat or whatever, I use it as an excuse to eat a big ass box of cookies or some other bullshit that I don't even really like. Honestly, I feel noticeably different in ketosis, enough to were I have passed up cheat days/meals because I didn't want to deal with getting back into it again.

Keto use to work for me but my job is too strenuous I feel like crap and depleted all the time, on top of lifting. What did work to drop the weight and not really change what I ate was alternative 24-36 hr fasts. So Monday you eat, Tuesday do not eat till 24-36 mark, Wednesday eat, etc etc.

i prefer to do it everyday, keeps me motivated. you have to understand plateaus are normal tho
This is the big thing.

Im not saying thaky did, but its easy to look at that gain the next day negatively. In reality, it could just be a salty meal he had and is just retaining excess water.

Weigh everyday but look at weekly average rather than individual daily weights.
I weigh everyday, so it is a bit hypocritical of me to say otherwise. So much just goes into weight loss and it is real easy to get discouraged.
