What the heck are you talking about? The guy is a DT, played DT in college. Not saying we can't find a better player and have considered the possibility of getting Barmore. Taking a DT in the 3rd doesn't guarantee we get someone better than Murchison.
Plus you were flat out wrong about DT needs in a 4-3 vs a 3-4. A 3-4 requires 3 big guys, one a NT while a 4-3 utilizes two big inside guys and 2 DEs. If we use Autry on the strong side and Dupree on the weak side we have two DEs in the 270 pound range. Murchison is 300 pounds and could play either DT in that alignment. He certainly is not an edge player.
