I get what your saying, but i still don’t agree with the concept. Local governments have also seized private property for tax revenue (generations of family owned property stolen and given to private company to build townhouses)- SCOTUS upheld that terrible decision not so long ago. There are many people whose dollars are seized that don’t give a rats ass about festivals, concerts, and the like. Curious if any of these tax revenues were voted on by the people prior to it happening. My guess is no.

I allways thought of government as a group who believes they know the best way to spend your money, or at least more than you do. They decide how much to give to charity and which one, though this is not a duty but it makes them look good and serves in trades or favors

No, I get all this. I’m just saying, the players are getting what they are worth. Not over or under paid. It’s how capitalism works. They will continue to push for more money as the NFL keeps making billions. The owners are making plenty too.

Anyway, I just don’t get why some fans complain about players’ salaries or complain about players complaining about their salaries. What an NFL player makes has little to no affect on any fan’s life.

Well, that’s a matter of perspective. I’d say athletes are paid what they are worth. Owners make what they are worth. That’s how capitalism works.

It really doesn’t matter what I think. The Chargers said he is worth it. So, he is worth it. That’s kind of the definition of “worth.”
