Keeping a really good player around. Even when it doesn't show up on the stat sheet for him, other guys benefit from him being on the field. Good signing, imo.

So if you look at the total value as a 5 year / $104.75 mil deal, then the average annual value makes Jeff the 6th highest paid DL in the NFL. But $66 mil guaranteed moves him just above Aaron Donald’s $65 mil guaranteed giving Big Jeff the highest guarantees at the position. Overall a really good deal for the Titans AND Big Jeff.
Simmons may be the best 1st rd pick the titans have taken after relocation.

This statement isn't grounded in facts. He's like top 6 among DT's in sacks the last 2 years, while also being one of the best run stopping DTs.
