Best move of the off season. Guys a baller. Teams keep there best players hopefully this is a trend ran will pursue.
I was about to say. MCM is saying he will play this season on the $10M option and then get the 4 year deal so 5 years total.
Gross$66M guaranteed
Awesome. Biggest part of our defense locked in. Now trade up for Stroud.
Gross
Your dollars going toward that guarantee?
Keeping a really good player around. Even when it doesn't show up on the stat sheet for him, other guys benefit from him being on the field. Good signing, imo.
Pretty happy with this. Can't see him pulling a Haynesworth and falling off.

Even Aaron Donald acknowledges Simmons is a freak of nature.
66mil, I'd say there's a chancePretty happy with this. Can't see him pulling a Haynesworth and falling off.
For some men there is something that gnaws at a man more than being paid66mil, I'd say there's a chance
AgreeThe front 7 looks pretty legit this season
Does that come from an inability to afford adequate shelter? For some men there is something that gnaws at a man more than being paid
If he was a freak of nature he'd be getting through double teams, but he doesnt.Even Aaron Donald acknowledges Simmons is a freak of nature.
So if you look at the total value as a 5 year / $104.75 mil deal, then the average annual value makes Jeff the 6th highest paid DL in the NFL. But $66 mil guaranteed moves him just above Aaron Donald’s $65 mil guaranteed giving Big Jeff the highest guarantees at the position. Overall a really good deal for the Titans AND Big Jeff.
Simmons may be the best 1st rd pick the titans have taken after relocation.
Jevon Kearse is obviously up there, but that’s a long stretch in between.

CJ2K? Lewan? Bullock?
I'm glad we got Simmons locked in.Simmons may be the best 1st rd pick the titans have taken after relocation.

Bullock and Haynesworth were good first round picks as well

This statement isn't grounded in facts. He's like top 6 among DT's in sacks the last 2 years, while also being one of the best run stopping DTs.
