Titans Talk - Home for all things Tennessee Titans

The handling of the Titans Hiring Process and the handling of the Ray Rice case were wrong. They can be handled by their ownership however they want but we agree they were handled wrong. Titans didn't do anything illegal. NFL didn't do anything illegal. Both were wrong though.

NFL only changed the way they handled it because of media and populous outcry. NOT because it was illegal. The same tactics can be used to combat the lazyness of Titans ownership. One is very extreme and a lot easier to understand than the other (Ray Rice), but doesn't mean that it can't happen with the Titans FO.
This will be where I leave the thread. I think we understand each other.

The handling of the Titans hiring was NOT wrong. You or I may not agree with it but, unless something is in violation of the law, an owner can make a hire however they want. That's part of being the owner of any business.

Don't like how AAS handled the hire? Don't buy a ticket. If enough feel that way, then real change might happen.

To compare it to Rice beating his wife is just sad.

Lol omg. I wish I could just talk face to face.

I didn't mean that Titans hiring was factually wrong, but that you and I disagree with the way they did it. Additionally, the fans and media disagreed with how NFL chose to punish Ray Rice. That's the fact. They didn't HAVE to punish him at all.

Two orgs making decisions that were NOT wrong but greatly disagreed with by media and the people.

Sorry. That isn't enough for me. My problem with this mentality is that you are over simplifying a solution. You're right, its something we can do, but I would encourage us to take it a step further and voice our concerns, sign petitions, stir chit up so it can gain momentum.

Simply not engaging is not as powerful as, not engaging AND being a pro active activist. Its just not.

That was the most boring back and forth that I have ever read.
Yet, you read it all.

I hate the Titans higher ups so much. Will be great to go 0-16 and still be stuck with these same shitty coaches and ownership next year.
