Think about this. We traded a 4th round pick for Tannehill and he’s got a $22 million cap hit for us this year.

Think it's a slight overpay, but the cap goes up every year, and he is probowl quality. I'm ok with it. Thing is, if Watson leaves, and he should, he won't be protecting anything. So there is that. He did all of this without an agent. guaranteed, good pay, long term.
What an absolute mess BoB has created. No draft capital, and they're going to be in cap Hell. I love it, but I'd be losing my mind if I was a Texans fan.

Let’s wait and see what Watson does without Hopkins. If he is till successful I will back off. I still think he is a waaay overrated QB.
I don't think he's overrated.. He's a really good QB with potential galore, but as you see he's being coached by BoB and I'm sure he can't get the best out of him.
BoB has shown he can't be a good HC or GM. Watson's talent is wasting away under BoB.

Nah, I can't see Watson signing an extension. If that's the case, he's getting MAD MAD money to stay with them.
They can talk extenstion talk all they want. Watson isn't going to sign unless they give him money he can't refuse. He's already hinted that he wants out.
