I’d love to see Dez join the roster and get an opportunity. Big, physical receiver. Needs a lot of coaching up though.
The whole issue with Dez is that no team is going to pick him up for their roster not knowing his capabilities. Thus well worth the risk to not protect him. He probably won't be called up to our active roster this season so he isn't going anywhere.

"Big, physical receiver" :nono:
I think what he meant to say was average sized, un-athletic, can’t catch"Big, physical receiver" :nono:

but to be fair, he was really tough after the catch in college. Definitely rooting for him.

What a bust Reynolds amounted to be, he was intended to be the #2 guy before Julio was acquired. I was down on Dez during the off season and preseason, but Vrabel came out and said Dez has come a long ways and is stepping up. I wouldn't be surprised if Dez sees some snaps in a meaningful game before the season concludes.

I'll be definitely rooting for him though. Just not a big, physical WR. Maybe has him confused with McMath (haven't seen enough of him to know if he's physical though, but he is a big dude).
I thought Reynolds would be really good as #3 WR for us. Glad we didn't give him a bloated 3/4 contract to be our long term #2. We got lucky with that.
He was suppose to be our next Rishard Matthews.

At one point it was looking like it was going to be:
1. AJ Brown
2. Reynolds
3. Fitzpatrick
Yikes

6'2, 210. Davis was closer to 6'3, 210. I'd say there isn't much difference and Davis was a good size physical WR. Fitzpatrick isn't a supreme route runner with agility and more of a guy who can run slants, posts and such (maybe like Davis in that way). He had a bad camp but does have some talent and who knows how he progresses but the coaches are saying he is doing OK. Again, don't expect him this year but could make a move next.

Not sure anyone except for a homer-uninformed fan would seriously think a 4th round pick could step in at WR and contribute much their rookie season.
Reynolds got off to a slow start, partially because of injury, and other guys stepped up. Not a bad player but not a guy who is anything special. He was brought in because of his experience as a one season stop gap.
Reynolds was on $1m per year. I dont think we ever signed him to be our #2.
Yep, it did. Pre-season optimism got the better of me.
So with Julio out, Brown hobbled most weeks, backup WRs... we couldn't get Reynolds the ball but Goff can??

Seems like it
There is no denying Tannehill has been a shadow of what he showed us the past 2 seasons. He is playing like shit most of the time.So with Julio out, Brown hobbled most weeks, backup WRs... we couldn't get Reynolds the ball but Goff can??
Like the second we cut Reynolds, AJ, Julio and Johnson went down. Unbelievable.
