The mighty Kern....

Brett Kern placed all five of his punts inside the 20-yard line in yesterday’s Titans win. That included two at the 10, one at the 5 and one at the 2.
He leads the league in the category.

Defense:

**Harold Landry now leads the Titans with 3 sacks this season. The Titans are 5th in the NFL with 13 sacks.

**Per @PFF, Titans @Mac_BZ was targeted 4 times while covering #Falcons' Julio Jones.

-Butler held Jones to 2 catches on those 4 targets, for just 23 yards and 1 first down.

Offense

**After having the 4th longest average time in pocket over the first 3 weeks (3.05 seconds) per PFF, Mariota spent the 3rd LEAST amount of time in the pocket in Week 4 (2.40 seconds). That’s a HUGE part of the reason he wasn’t sacked against the Falcons.

**Comparing Titans O-line performance numbers of last 2 weeks, per @PFF:

Week 3 loss to Jags: O-line at fault for 6 sacks, 4 QB hits, 10 hurries

Week 4 win over Falcons: O-line at fault for 0 sacks, 1 QB hit, 5 hurries

**Derrick Henry is 9th in the NFL with 300 yards rushing thru 4 games. He's done it despite not having a single run over 20 yards. He's on pace for 1200 yards, but that will really pop with a few "explosive" plays which are sure to come.

Per C.Curtis,M.Herdon, J.Glennon

**Titans recorded a pair of 90-yard receiving games and a 100-yard rushing game vs. #Falcons

(-Brown 94 yds, Davis 91 yds, Henry 100 yds)

-Just the 4th time in Oilers/Titans franchise history that had happened, first since since Dec. 6, 2015 vs. Jax.

**Prior to this season, Marcus Mariota hadn’t had a 3 TD passing game since November 13, 2016 vs Green Bay (he had 4 that game).

He has two so far this year through week 4.

**Mariota didn’t suffer a single sack Sunday, for the first time in his past 18 appearances

-Last time that happened was 2018 opener vs. Miami

**Mariota is 5-0 vs. NFC teams since 2018

Per j. Glennon & Superhorn.

Didnt he have like a 300+ yard, 3 TD game vs the Eagles last year?

Edit - 2 TD's 344 yards.

Props to FWordspod for splitting up these gen stats through the first 4 weeks.

Accurate on...
19 of 21 qualifying passes
10 of 12 on Obv. Pass Downs
7 of 7 beyond 10 yds
No interceptable passes...
Frontrunner for best Week 4 depth-adj. accuracy w/min. 20 att (95.1%).

The Titans’ top three receivers – Davis, Brown and Adam Humphries – totaled 10 catches for 200 yards and the three TDs.

The Falcons’ top three – Jones, Mohamed Sanu and Calvin Ridley – managed 16 catches for 75 yards and no scores.
That’s less than 5 yards a catch. Those are terrible numbers.
Good job D

Last 500 carries:

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott:

2,261 yards and 12 TDs (4.5 YPA)

Titans RB Derrick Henry:

2,260 yards and 23 TDs (4.5 YPA)

Brown was on the field for just 16 snaps as a receiver, but he still found time to feast against the Atlanta Falcons. He picked up 94 yards at an average of 5.88 yards per route run on the day. Through four weeks, Brown has dropped two passes but also forced three missed tackles.

Conklin allowed two hurries, with no sacks or hits, from 30 pass-blocking snaps in the Titans’ win over the Falcons on Sunday. He was more impressive as a run-blocker, producing an 85.5 PFF run-blocking grade in the game.

Casey delivered both against the run and as a pass-rusher on Sunday, generating a sack and three hurries from 46 pass-rushing snaps and adding a tackle that resulted in a defensive stop. The cherry on the cake was a forced fumble that capped an impressive performance by the veteran.

Awesome to see. They should make one for Special Teams and we would have Kern in there.

They did do one for special teams and believe it or not Kern didn’t make it. The punter from Washington got it .

Tress Way, Washington Redskins
Way got plenty of work on Sunday, punting six times in the loss to the Giants. He averaged a whopping 51.8 net yards per punt, 4.53 seconds of hang-time, and the punt coverage unit allowed just eight yards total on the day.
