i downloaded it from Game Pass not thinking too much of it because i ****ing hated Fallout 3 and never touched another fallout game.. but i'm liking this.. I like the Companion aspect, reminds me of mass effect
yes its a nice mix of fallout/mass effect/bioshock. really liking it so far.

Outer World's is good. I like Fallout New Vegas and Obsidian does Fallout better than Bethesda. New COD is goodish it takes awhile to get decent at it, but the camping is pretty extreme right now.

My biggest issues are the inventory management is excessive, and companions open closed doors when you are looting. Would also like an option to lock gear from being sold or dismantled. Consumable time should also stack IMO.

People camp because the footsteps are loud as fuck and the red dots for shots fired are up top and not on the minimap, you can't tell where people are. I hear teammate footsteps from like 30ft away, it's excessive

Piccadilly in particular is a shit map that screams camping is required

Lol ya I hate piccadilly. I pretty much have the first assault rifle you start with maxed out and I melt people with it, l wanna unlock the oden try it out. Spec ops it's pretty good.

the reviews for death stranding are hilarious. either game of the generation or complete trash.

looks boring af to me

Played about 5 hours or so of it.

It’s a Kojima game. The story is going to be bizarre and there will be a ton of cutscenes.

I like it.

Basically future post apocalyptic FedEx meets Metal Gear and Ghostbusters.

It is hard to really describe. Early gameplay is navigating the world making deliveries with simple tools.

You eventually can build roads and bridges, use vehicles and weapons, there’s apparently large boss fights and gun and melee combat all none of which I’ve seen so far. They said the first 10 hours is basically a slow tutorial though.

The online elements and social media elements are nice. You can leave supplies and weapons for other players in the world. Leave warnings and messages for people.

Your ability to level up and build new shit is tied directly to “likes” from online players and in game NPCs. So the more you help others the better your game experience will be.

I can’t rate it yet. The world design, characters and story are A+ so far though.

It controls almost exactly like Metal Gear Solid 5 though. Which is great.

I've watched the reviews, tying leveling up to likes is ridiculous and the main gameplay is balancing while walking... lol

The main gameplay is stealth which is what Kojima does. Instead of avoiding soldiers in Metal Gear though, you’re sneaking and avoiding ghosts along with people trying to steal your cargo.

Tying leveling up to likes isn’t ridiculous in the scope of the story and the commentary Kojima is making with the story.

On face value the game is delivering items to reconnect America which was destroyed by a yet unknown event to me at where I’m at in the story.

The story is interesting.

Americans apply value to social media “Likes” so Kojima turns that on its face and literally makes Likes currency in the game. It isn’t just likes though. If you want to progress in the game then be kind to complete strangers, people you never even meet. Good message there. There’s a lot of resource gathering for crafting too. Similar to MGS5.

The entire story seems pretty on the nose to me so far.

America is disconnected. You are in a city on the east coast and have to travel to a city on the west coast establishing connections with the people in the middle between the coasts.

Also the event that caused all of this came from the coasts.

That’s all I got so far.

I’m guessing we will be getting commentary on how fractured America is, our obsession with violence as the game also rewards you for not killing. Obvious heavy commentary on social media.

I’ll have to finish it. The story must be completed.

Kojima stretched a simple story about antinuclear proliferation into like 7 games.

Lol walking

Vondy just mad he doesn't have anything to play but Sea of Thieves.

assuming this is a jab at xbox..

currently..

Surge 2 & CoD, next week Civilization 6, following week Jedi; just finished Outer Worlds, Gears 5 before that

plenty to do right now.. you could watch all the cinematics of DS on youtube and not pay $60 to walk around to get to those cutscenes

but by all means, go for it if it makes you feel elitist

also, i watched about an hour of it yesterday, the lip sync during cutscenes is Mass Effect Andromeda bad, but i guess Kojima gets a pass
