Titans Talk - Home for all things Tennessee Titans

Roto:
First-round WR Treylon Burks has been practicing with the second- and third-string offenses.

Burks has gotten off to a bumpy start in his first NFL offseason, battling conditioning issues in the spring and now lining up wrong and running the wrong routes. He's been repping with the Logan Woodside and Malik Willis units, while Robert Woods, Nick Westbrook-Ihkine, and fellow rookie slot man Kyle Philips have mainly been repping with Ryan Tannehill's group. Burks is supposed to be the Titans' replacement for A.J. Brown, but he's got a long way to go. Of course, things can change quickly, and Burks' talent can vault him up the depth chart fast, but he's not looking like a player worthy of much more than a late-round fantasy flier at the moment.
Mike Herndon, who is cited as the source for this, has already responded and said that something he wrote was taken out of context and this isn't true at all. Burks has been practicing with the starters since the beginning of camp.

It's amazing how little the media gives a crap about the Titans unless it's something negative.

It's amazing how little the media cares about…….the truth.
FIFY and goes way beyond sports.

if it might be controversial, report it. Use “sources” as the source. Worry about truth later, zero accountability anyway.

This is the Tweet they're somehow pulling him working with the 2nd/3rd team from:

There's nothing in there that says he's only been working as a backup. To say that is just flat disingenuous.

Ja’Marr Chase also received bad press reports on his performance (hands) in camp last year. Burks will be fine. He just needs to get the playbook down and makeup for arriving in piss poor shape after the draft.

Fake news

A lot of these national writers don't know their ašs from a hole in the ground

Sports journos love to pontificate but are not held accountable for bad takes
I wish it were just bad takes. It’s the straight up false info that annoys me.

We all see the “writers” who make up top 10’s or even the highly criticized (probably on purpose) power rankings.
But guys like Schefter spout out all kinds of “I’m first to report” BS per “sources” and is flat out wrong. In some rare cases, damaging the player or associations via public jury.
Zero accountability.
