Drive - 5/10. Way overrated. Didn't even come close to living up to the hype..
Im'ma beat you with a curtain rod. How dare you call Drive overrated/hyped. I heard 0 hype, and I missed that movie by like 3 months. Not only was Drive the best flick of last year, best soundtrack as well. FOR SHAME RSB.
A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas - 2/10. ****ing horrible. You seriously have to be blazed to enjoy this one..
This looks even worse than Your Highness. All the weed in the world can't make those two pos good.

Insidious - 4/10. Not the least bit scary. For some reason, everyone seems to think it's terrifying.

I agree 100%. Not only is it not scary, the story is just flat out stupid. I won't do spoilers or anything..but I've seen better crap on the sci fi channel.

Sigh, you actually spent money to see that again? Just encouraging them to keep re-releasing decade old movies because they can't come up with an original storyline to save their lives. I am disappoint DW.

After I found this avatar somewhere on the net, I decided I wanted to watch some old Kong movies......

King Kong 1933 10/10. I think this started the movement for gigantic monster movies. Everything looked pretty good for the most part, even being so old.

King Kong vs Godzilla- I loved this movie back when I was a kid, but good lord, this movie is just flat out terrible. 4/10

King Kong- The new one, I just can't help but think that the woman in the movie wants to make love to Kong. They pushed the "connection" between these two for too long and too much.

Usually with you on this.

But I haven't seen the film since seeing it in theaters the first time. And it's a beautiful movie...

Unfortunately, that argument is justified though because the 3D was far to easy to forget... I can't remember but maybe 1 thing that looked very 3D'esque.

I guess the "hype" I kept hearing was actually in this thread. Everyone said it was one of, if not the best movie of the year. Ryan Gosling's character was just too stupid for me to enjoy it... Also, not enough Cranston.

We agree about Your Highness. I walked out of that POS after 20 minutes... only the second time I've ever walked out of a movie.

33 Kong was flat out epic in its day. And that "love angle" of the new one was also in the original and ultimately lay on the cutting room floor. Fay Wray's nip scenes on the boat and a few of the ones that were edited out were scandalous in 1933.

King Kong vs Godzilla is such a goof. This was intended to be filmed as Frankenstein vs Godzilla but they swapped out Kong at the last minute. I could only imagine... Stolen bits of The Creature from The Black Lagoon's score are confusing. Some of the silliest marionette work of the genre. I still love it regardless.

They are releasing the original Japanese versions of these movies and they are quite an improvement over the American TV versions..

I like the action elements of Jackson's Kong and especially the relentless "bug" scene, but the 70's Kong and Jessica Lange's lovely sticks still hold a place in my heart.

I'm the latest victim of getting forced into seeing The Hunger Games - 1/10. Even if this was a well written movie with good acting, I still would've hated it because I really don't like 12 year olds getting their necks snapped or getting slaughtered to death.

Black Swan - 8/10. Way better than I expected. I thought it would be way too weird for me. It was weird for sure, but I liked it.

Moneyball - 8/10. Hate baseball, but I enjoyed this.

The Divide..
If you enjoy stuff like Blindness or The Experiment.
You'll want a bath after this one..

Saw the Avengers last night. Absolutely epic. If you have been following the movies or grew up loving these characters welcome to paradise.

10/10 Not the pinnacle of film but about as perfect of a superhero movie you are ever going to see. Two scenes during the credits. One halfway and another at the end. Stay.

Ran in to this guy

Saw 5 yr Engagement last night. It ended in time for me to exit the theater to a lobby full of grown men wearing what I assume is their kid's (I hope) Iron Man masks and captain America sheilds...

Look, I'm all for "never growing up" and all... but my god. You can have fun, be a fan, etc without throwing your sex-life down the drain.

Was that movie any good?

Yea there were tons of people dressed up and even play fighting each other in the theater. I don't hate, to each his own. I'd been at the bar for about two hours before I got there. I was feeling good. Those people were just having fun. It made the entire experience that much more fun.

It was solid. Had it's moments. The guy from Parks and Recreation (Chris Pratt) was great in it.

Not a hilarious movie, but worth a watch.

I love Jason Segal and Chris Pratt (mainly in Parks and Rec).

I'll wait and see it when my friend who works at the theater wants to, so it's free.

You means the guys with their KIDS throwing their sex life down the drain? :sad2:

You don't like it, cool. But your ignorance on this kid of thing is pretty sad. Same thing with Harry Potter.

Ignorance?

I like a lot of movies... I didn't show up to "The Fighter" in trunks and gloves.

You seriously defending that?
