Just saw The Amazing Spider-man (IMAX and 3D). Really enjoyed it, I found it better than the previous Spider-mans.
Yes, I enjoyed the new one also. I was reminded of a post by one of us here that said Andrew Garfield was much better at tragic than T Macuire, and that came through in this version, which makes Raimi's look rather campy in comparison.
The only problem i had with it is that Garfield remains as a skinny geek throughout the movie. Seems like he should have buffed up a bit for the part, although I get that Raimi's "overnight beefcake" bit wasn't very reasonable either.

My main problem was two plot points that were just dropped.

They are obviously broadening the universe similar to the Avengers. A Venom movie is on the way from the director of Chronicle so... that will be sick.
Many characters have yet to be introduced. Norman and Harry Osborn, Jonah Jamison, Eddie Brock and of course Mary Jane.
The sequel will be huge. I might be more looking forward to it than any other Marvel movie outside of the Avengers sequel.

Lol! Funny thing about that: a friend was telling me that his roommate has been disappointed with the franchise from the beginning... when I asked why, he said "it's because nothing ever goes right for this guy! (Peter Parker)...." I LOL'd, and asked if he was sure that he wanted to see the new series featuring Gwen Stacey because I don't think she's gonna make it...

Begrudgingly watched The Three Stooges.. I love the old shorts but had little interest in seeing imitations but a friend swore on his mamma's grave that it was the funniest thing ever..
The guys do a pretty amazing job of cloning the Stooges' every nuance and at times it's hard to tell Will Sasso isn't actually Curly, but good grief this movie such a cliched turd.
It's Three Stooge clones in a Jersey Shore world and it's not funny or entertaining - at all. Just plain terrible.
I think the Farrelly Bros watched the two Brady Bunch movies and said, yup - this is good enough and just replaced The Bradys with Moe, Larry and Curly.
