Movies just aren't the same anymore. There will never be another Smokey and the Bandit.
Shame too, the world could use another good trucker movie.

They filmed a bunch of stuff from those movies near me when I lived in Palm Beach County. Went to the same high school as Burt.
I remember that film made folks go insane wanting Coors to come to Florida.
It finally expanded to our area a while after that and it was such a disappointment..

Why was it illegal to truck Coors to the east?
Why was it illegal to truck Coors to the east?
I've heard a lot of different reasons as to why that was. I think in they end, Coors themselves had something to do with that - not ponying up the state fees, taxes etc.
Becau
Because the east coast is full of wacko religionut f##ktards who bellow about freedom while trying to make sure you experience none of it. That is applicable to the taxes and fees Cruds mentioned. SC is so psychotic about it that their liquor stores aren't allowed to have a name or signage. Why was it illegal to truck Coors to the east?
For much of its history, Coors beer was a regional product and its marketing area was confined to the American West.[6][7][8] While Californiaand Texas were part of the 11-state distribution area, Washington and Montana were not added until 1976 [6][9] (& Oregon did not approve sales in grocery stores until 1985).[10][11][12][13] This gave it mystique and made it a novelty, particularly on the East Coast,[14][15] and visitors returning from the western states often brought back a case.[16] This iconic status was reflected in the 1977 movie Smokey and the Bandit, which centered around an illegal shipment of Coors from Texas to Georgia. The company finally established nationwide distribution in the United States in the mid-1980s.[17]
The key word here being "illegal" as opposed to "against company marketing policy". If I bought a snow globe in Colorado in the 1970's I wouldn't need a trucker convoy to smuggle it back to NC.
Btw, even though Coors sucks, their non-alcoholic brew is actually pretty good...much better than A-B's O'Doul's.

Their Banquet Beer is too.
Coors Light is like beer flavored water.

I have never even sipped an NA beer.
One of these days..
I really REALLY like beer. REALLY. I mean I REALLY like beer. Thanks to that fact I can only drink NAs and only rarely.. a couple at gigs and special occasions like SB and Alien Day.
Coors NA isn't bad. O'Douls is just a hops-flavored sparkling water soft drink. St. Pauli Girl NA is sugar water. Buckler's is a nice green pilsner beverage and Kaliber reigns supreme.

I like beer as well. Having been a very limited drinker for the past decade or so my tolerance is back to zip though. NA might be a good choice. I just never think to ask for one at a gig or wherever. Had a couple of nasty draughts at TPAC last week at Alice Cooper. Bad choice.
saw Capt. America Civil War..
disappointed in the lack of deaths for a "Civil War"..
Yeah... honestly wasn't really expecting it though.saw Capt. America Civil War..

it seemed pretty pointless in the end, what is it bridging together? is it just introducing spider man? what was the point.. all the others basically led somewhere.. for the most part

I have never tried an NA beer either.
If you guys love beer then I recommend a trip to central Washington or Central Oregon.
I spent two weeks in the Yakima valley right in the middle of hop country. That place is to beer drinkers what the Napa valley is to wine drinkers. So many amazing beers.
