That doesn't make any sense
It makes total sense. However it's not the case in Jacksonville.
Atlanta and Pittsburgh yeah.
Good for Baker. I've always liked his game.
its gonna be fun watching browns implode cause they choose Tuggy McHappyendingface over mayfield
He went from making $4m last year to 50m guaranteed over the next 2 years. Or an average of 33.3m/year for the next 3 years if he plays out the contract. Not a bad raise!

He's been mid tier and played really well last year.
So how come all this players are getting sign before the FA period starts.
Can someone give me a quick explanation?

The only thing I can think of is that certain players were released vice their contract running out.
Same here but Mayfield was never release ...I guess it's an extention type of thing before FA start.I asked the same thing.

As far as I know, players that are free agents can sign at any time and that's the players who have been signing. Also, if they're under contract, they can renegotiate/resign when ever. Contracts don't technically expire until the new league year on March 13 for players who are under contract with a team. They can negotiate with other teams during the "tampering window" starting the 11th though.
Since we were talking about Jones to Jacksonville the comment doesn't make sense in this case..I get it's in reference to a 2 QB system..Jones will be the backup in Jacksonville therefore it's not a 2 QB systemIt makes total sense. However it's not the case in Jacksonville.

Omg I sound like @HurrayTitans!

Not sure why Bears continue to sign ex-Titans. Must have really impressed Eberflus when he was in Indy. N Davis, D Walker, D Cole, K Blasingame, D Evans, D Foreman, C Santos and now Byard (2yr $15mil).Kevin Byard signing with the Bears
I can see Byard going into coaching when he's done with playing. Seems like he would make a good coach.

John Madden
Overpaid! Good for KB thought.I can see Byard going into coaching when he's done with playing. Seems like he would make a good coach.
I figured he'd want to go to a contender. Maybe he realized he wouldn't have too many options. Buffalo is in need, but broke.
Eagles guard Landon Dickerson signing four-year extension worth up to $87 million
Guards getting paid now.

I believe if you were not an impending FA, and you you were cut prior to the start of the league year, you are free to sign anywhere the very minute you are cut, as your cut still falls under the prior NFL year.
