I have to agree with everybody else here. This guy has done nothing positive since he has been here and is constantly doing things that deserve criticism. You dont have to personally know someone to be critical of them, especially when its time after time that he messes up. Hopefully the people surrounding him arent making excuses for him or else he wont ever pull his head out of his ***.

I do see where you are all coming from and I tend to agree with most of it, except calling him on things that he hasnt been involved in.

The shooting - had nothing to do with him.

The drug bust - Leant his car out to someone he knows. Possibly poor judgement or maybe a good friend that he doesnt need to ask what for.
Doesn't make him a druggy.

Really the only thing he has done wrong (off-field) is last year with Robert Gaddy(?) and that was sorted out this year.

And there are other things that were rumours but nothing solid on it.

The drug bust thing is still under investigation, and since the car is supposedly his, then i would think he is at least a small part of that investigation. Im not saying he is guilty of anything, but I wouldnt count my chickens just yet on the drug bust thing. They arrested 9 people, so if Pac Man was involved I guarantee it someone rolls over on him if they can get a lessser sentence out of it. Again, not saying that will happen, just saying that the drug bust isnt a closed issue at this point.

Secondly, he just doesnt seem to care. He is constantly putting himself in bad situations, he holds out of camp forever, he isnt working out with the team now, he got lots of stupid penalties last year because he is a hot head. Not to mention he apparently threatened a reporter who was asking about the drug bust thing. I honestly see nothing what so ever to praise him on at this point and he doesnt appear to be doing anything positive for this team.

I agree with that, it will make this investigation interesting...whenever it is over.

I'm not praising him. I know he needs new friends and a new agent.
But there is nothing worse to happen to you is when people start spreading untrue rumors about you making you out to to be the bad guy.

I dont necessarily disagree with that. But I will say, he brings it all on himself and its incident after incident and there is certainly some reason to judge him. You shouldnt prejudge people I will agree with you, but, when they keep giving you reasons to negatively judge them then its hard to not look down on him.

If nothing else, he does give us something to talk about and definately makes the offseason a lot more interesting than it used to be.

When Jones refused to honor a Titan player tradition of giving (a miniscule amount of money) as a Christmas bonus to the locker room attendants last year, that spoke volumes about what kind of person he is.

What could we get for Pac right now? I'd just about say it's time to send this guy on. Why did we draft him? He was bad news in college, and nothing's changed.
One thing's that concerns me with the Titans now, we used to draft high character guys, I don't see that anymore. Pac last year, now LenDale White with his problems.

I still do not get how being at the site of a shooting is on Pacman? As far as we all know from what has been reported it didn't involve anyone he knew.
So how is Pacman putting himself in a bad situation there?

How many people here have been out partying or whatever and went to the local 7/11 to get something to eat or whatever in the early hours of the morning?
Its a known druggie hang out. The place to buy/sell, at least its what a useless friend of mine told me, and he was right about McNair hanging out in bars way before the mugshot was took.

Adam Jones is uncuttable because of the CAP. If he has somehow breached his contract its a different story. My guess is the Titans could get the CAP $$$ back if/when AJ repaid them, like Sanders repays the Lions every year.

So if he were found to be in breach of contract, he could possibly be up for trade or bench?

I'm a noob here, but seems like the decision to miss the voluntary training is smart for him in a monetary sense, whether his agent made the call or no.

You are right..what was I thinking....these have all been just innocent coincidences that have nothing to do with who he chooses to hang out with. I am sure he was just at the quick mart getting a late night burrito.

As long as you recognise it. :brow:

Did he? The last story I read was that Hopkins was shaking down Beckham (or one of the other CB's) and then Pacman decided to stand up for him.

The problem is the media will take half a story and run with it and never bother to correct it when they're wrong (for instance I still don't know if Pacman actually owns the car involved in the drug bust, even though it should be pretty easy to find out).

Must be an international thing.

Huyghue is FOS. I agree with a former poster that the only reason Pac isn't here is so he can have a clean urine test. The "media frenzy" spin is laughable.

His abscence is a distraction to the team. Now I'm getting concerned.

Pacman will be the bad guy until he does something to prove otherwise.

He's like the trouble-maker in junior high who got blamed for everything regardless if he was involved or not. It's a result of a reputation he created.

He has to lie in the bed he made.

So I am to understand that you think it's right to blame someone based solely on prior events and not the event in question?? :hmm:
