Titans Talk - Home for all things Tennessee Titans

He's got a point, saying he's not overpaid. If we couldn't afford him, that's a different argument. I hope we don't miss him too much this year.

The article says he wanted 80 mil guaranteed from the Titans...no one else got that .....AJ is delusional

I think the trade happening had to do with more than just money

Think aj knows how shit jalen hurts is and is still a bit pissed going to a shit team in a shit division. I'm not bitter about brown leaving, we'll be fine. Burks gonna ball.

The more he says the more I'm glad the Titans moved on from him, even if he has great success in Philly. He is immature, and it will be a long time before he's lived enough to grow out of that. I'm not sure if he recognizes that he misses good chunks of seasons due to injury. I'm glad they didn't tie up a bunch of guaranteed money with his recent injury history.

Justice would be the Titans ball out and win a Super Bowl without him.

DK metcalf is flat out better. Mcclaurin has done more with less (QB I mean) so he may be better, and Deebo showed talent all over the field so he may be better.

Now I don’t think Deebo can repeat all the rushing and WR stats year after year, so I’d say only AJ and Deebo are overpaid.

More importantly, Christian Kirk is way overpaid and helped set all of these overpayments for WR in motion.

How many of those guys saw significant blue tent time so far in their careers? I'm willing to bet AJ has spent more time in the tent. Don't see the need to pay at WR big money with shotty knees and a propensity for mental health issues.

This

When we traded him all Im thinking is JR must know something the Eagles dont.

Hell of a player when hes on the field tho.

agreed... very few X Titans are let go and peak elsewhere

it has happened but not often

Skill players? For sure. Aside from Britt and Cook I can't think of much anyone else. But we've seen a lot of DL and OL go on to have as good or better careers elsewhere.

I can only think of Jared Cook and Derrick Mason, and in Mason's case his best stats were with the Titans.
Cook really hasn’t been all that great either. At least nothing missed that makes me regret him leaving.

a couple DL did well after they left. The last I can remember went to the Bengals but can’t recall the name right now.
Pac-Man did well also.

Antwan Odom I'm guessing.

He was one, but I think Travis Laboy, robaire smith, and Randy starks all did at least decent after leaving.

I might be off, but I remember that first decade as titans, Jeff fisher could draft or sign any DL and they were quality either rotation or starters, problem was just not enough roster spots to keep them all and some did well elsewhere.
