Lol are we really going to be those fans? "WE DIDN'T WANT YOU ANYWAY, WAHHHHHHH!"

The pettiness is strong in that clip. Brown is overpaid, yes, but the market skyrocketed for receivers. He's a top 5-10 receiver though.
...with top 3 money.

People keep saying this. I'm curious... rank them. It doesn't have to be based off stats. Just who makes your team better right now:
Adams
Hopkins
Hill
Evans
Kupp
Jefferson
Diggs
----------------This would be the absolute soonest where AJ is even debatable
I would still put above him:
Chase (could easily jump above Evans with another good year)
Samuel
Metcalf

So that is 11. A long way away from being top 5. Even 11 is debatable because I think Keenan Allen is more reliable and guys like DJ Moore and McLaurin have produced better and more consistently with trash QBs. Thielen is in the mix too, but injuries have dropped him. That's a similar risk with AJ. So if anything, AJ is closer to being outside the top 15 than he is to being in the top 5.

Does he have top 5 POTENTIAL? Sure, but he has a lot of work to do to catch up to those 5 consistently. I personally don't think he'll ever be in that Adams/ Hopkins/ Evans level. Not worth the money any way you want to look at it.

Btw... Michael Thomas would slot in behind Evans IF he can come back to form. That's a big IF though.

by the eye test he can be in the right system. I think the Eagles think they can get top 5 production out of him. We'll just have to see if the Eagles use him a bit better than we did.
Nobody to throw him the ball. It will be 4 yards over his head half the time.

Reposting for you (or anyone else) that wants to consider where they rank AJ.
So this what I’ll do, I’m going to post a bunch of WR that have had pretty decent numbers over the last 3 seasons (if they played 3 seasons) and let the rest of the board chime in. Some are better, some are worse but there are more than 10 better.
Ftr, Brown was not That close to Hill. Much closer to mike Williams or Marvin Jones

AJ Brown (missed 7 games)
52-1051-8
70-1075-11
63-869-5
Total 185-2995-24 (ranks 27-14-8T among WR the last 3 years)

Cooper Kupp 331-4082-29 (1 game missed)
Devante Adams 321-3924-34 (7 games missed)
Tyreek Hill 256-3375-31(5 games missed)
Diontae Johnson 254-2764-20 (2 games missed)
Keenan Allen 310-3329-20 (2 games missed)
Hunter Renfrow 208-2299-15 (3 games missed)
Stefon Diggs 293-3890-24 (1 game missed)
Chris Godwin 249-3276-21 (9 games missed)
DJ Moore 246-3525-12 (2 games missed)
Marquise brown 195-2361-12 (3 games missed)
Cole Beasley 231-2438-11 (3 games missed)
Terry Mcclaurin 222-3090-16 (3 games missed)
Christian Kirk 193-2312-14 (5 games missed)
Mike Williams 173-2903-16 (3 games missed)

Deandre Hopkins 261-3144-21 (8 games missed)
Allen Robinson 238-2807-14 (5 games missed)
Robby Anderson 200-2394-11
Robert Woods 225-2626-12 (9 games missed)
Calvin Ridley 184-2521-18 (15 games missed)
Jarvis Landry 207-2584-11 (6 games missed)

Remains to be seen if they are better/worse but after 1 year, there’s argument at least for comparable.
Jaylen Waddle - 104-1015-6 (1 game missed)
Jamarr Chase - 81-1455-13
Aman st. Brown - 90-912-5
Devonta Smith - 64-916-5

These guys only 2 years
Justin Jefferson- 196-3016-17
Michael pittman Jr- 128-1585-7 (3 games missed)
Ceedee Lamb- 153-2037-11 (1 game missed)
Darnell Mooney- 142-1686-8
Tee Higgins- 141-1999-12 (3 games missed)

Everything considered here including games missed, I’d put AJ Brown around 15. That’s subjective which is why I didn’t label the 14 I have above him.

And you think that's because Art and Downing told Tannehill not to throw to him?
YES without a doubt in my mind

and by 'telling him not to throw to him' I specifically mean playcalling where B11 was not primary target... zero doubt in my mind they went away from B11 on purpose.

not that I agree with it

Based off talent, anyone here that doesn’t have AJ Brown in their top 10 is butthurt
Nonsense.
or are you referring to titans history?

I don’t know why anyone would think a guy that reaches 1K yards and has 1 season of 10+ TD would think this guy is top 10 in a league designed to have passing success.

It's not about having the talent it's about production....I have yet to see a column next to recs, yds, TDs etc for "amount of talent"
based on the stats

he took games off like Fat Al

literally everyone on the offense rode the coattails of Henry.. it's clear as day

if he wasn't on his game, no one else could compensate

This is a prime example of why social media is bad for your image, mental health, and career. Kids need to stay off that shit and express their feelings any other way not so public. AJ not a bad dude but his random mumblings have been so cringe for awhile now. All blowing up in his face right now. Wish him the best of luck!

On to Rookie mini camp boys…

Markets like Philly and New York will destroy AJ. He is way too fragile in the brain for those folks.
