Yep that there is a 25 million dollar man..Elite.$25 million / yr

For the record, everyone has drops so if you compline a video over 3 plus years, you can make anyone look bad.
That said, like I've been saying all along, $20+ million is too much for AJ and honestly too much for almost anyone. Adams, Hill, Hopkins, and Mike Evans are the only true game breakers in my opinion and I would only pay $25M if I have a good/great rookie QB for the next 2 or 3 years. Had the Chargers traded for Adams or Hill, that would of made a lot more sense to me.
In addition to the drops and injuries everyone has mentioned, my biggest issue with AJ is that he can disappear for stretchers and sometimes for full games. Good corners/ defenses can erase him at times. He's never really showed to be someone you can fully center the O around take over games (like we've seen with Kuup and Deebo). I haven't looked at his history, but I'd curious to see which games/corners he's dominated vs which have shut him out.
Clearly I was in the minority, but I was super happy with the trade simply due to finances and his demands. Any production from Burks and the rest of the return we got from AJ, is a bonus.

In 2019, Brown ranked 122 in drops/ tied 120 in drop %
In 2020, tied 35 in drops/ 70 in drop %
In 2021, tied for 8 in drops/ 23 in drop %
so he did progressively move towards the top of the league but other people drop the ball too.
Check to see, statistically, which games were his most productive vs which ones he was MIA.For stats to back up your point

in B11s defense the OC would go quarters without trying B11 at timesFor the record, everyone has drops so if you compline a video over 3 plus years, you can make anyone look bad.

I’ll avoid the subjectivity of which games I think he “showed up” but you’ll notice a staggering number towards the end. I will make a note for highlights, $ for good, * for absent.

If you count the drops by year 2, 5, 8.
Subjective, but he’s good for about 4 MIA games/year (not counting actual “out” games) and breaks out 4 games/year.
Hard to know which games specifically the OC did him in.
Lol are we really going to be those fans? "WE DIDN'T WANT YOU ANYWAY, WAHHHHHHH!"
The pettiness is strong in that clip. Brown is overpaid, yes, but the market skyrocketed for receivers. He's a top 5-10 receiver though.
No he’s not. At least no production measurement says that.Lol are we really going to be those fans? "WE DIDN'T WANT YOU ANYWAY, WAHHHHHHH!"

I’ll give you top 20, probably 15, not 10, certainly not 5.

I mean, if it's going to come to a contract dispute that him and his reps just won't give any edge room on, you bet we no longer want him -- he is definitely coming out to be a DIVA.
And especially considering EVERY year he has had lower body injuries - one nagging for an entire season requiring off season surgery, and all others missing multiple games.
The market be what it is, he just definitely did not meet the consistency to warrant "TOPPING" other teams WR market deals -- and neither do WRs like Deebo..
I'm sorry, but he was injured WAY TOO OFTEN to just give him that sort of a guaranteed stimulus.......... it is what it is.
It is frankly sickening that garbage teams are the ones driving up each market each year --- because Jacksonville is such a horrible franchise, that they have to throw the checkbook at them --- and then that doesn't bode well for teams managing properly.
We did good putting his gear on the curb for a 1 and 3. :howdy:I mean, if it's going to come to a contract dispute that him and his reps just won't give any edge room on, you bet we no longer want him -- he is definitely coming out to be a DIVA.

AJ Brown is no longer a WR for the Tennessee Titans. He is a WR for a team in which it’s city has to grease the light poles during big games, because the fans are so dumb, they try to climb them drunk. Let’s try and stay on the facts please.I mean, if it's going to come to a contract dispute that him and his reps just won't give any edge room on, you bet we no longer want him -- he is definitely coming out to be a DIVA.

He is currently a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, and this is a Tennessee Titan forum.

by the eye test he can be in the right system. I think the Eagles think they can get top 5 production out of him. We'll just have to see if the Eagles use him a bit better than we did.
And you think that's because Art and Downing told Tannehill not to throw to him?in B11s defense the OC would go quarters without trying B11 at times
It's one thing to try to force the ball to someone, which I agree we could of done more of, it is another to simply not get targeted on a pass play.
