Best offense the Titans have had since the franchise moved to Tennessee and fans are happy the OC might be leaving.
Who is happy he’s leaving? I’m not happy about it. That’s why I’m pissed about the interview after the game....

And then Art made no adjustments for the rest of the game. I mean why not try the QB keep on a zone read with them crashing so hard on Henry in the run game??
He kept running almost every single 1st down. We’ve never seen our offense look that bad with Art calling plays. Looked like a preseason game honestly.
yeah can’t argue that it was hard to watch from 2Q on... no spark , no passion nothing. Henry look timid and just plowing into our offensive lines butts - it was just painful to watch

To play Devils advocate, this is probably the most talented Titans teams in franchise history

Which is why I’m saying this played a role. 100%. The guy was distracted with all the other things going on. We scripted our first drive (like every team does every week) and then we lost control of what was working and just ran basic stuff the whole game. You knew when Henry was getting the ball and then it was 3rd and 7 and Baltimore brought the house on a blitz.

Henry had no where to go. 9, NINE players in the box controlling gaps. It was an absolutely horrific game plan, play calling.
So we run Henry into a brick wall when the defense is selling out to stop the run... then on 3rd n short you take henry out and the defense knows we are going for a short pass... honestly the worst playcalling imaginable
Also art is calling plays with the best QB RB wr trio plus a couple stud TEs. Art wont be missed

anyone with an ounce of competency could've called "run henry" or "play action to AJ"
we'll see if JRob can find someone with an ounce of competency this offseason
his track record of late is pretty horrid though
Smith was notorious for not adjusting. Our first drives of the game were usually pretty good, but if Henry struggled, Smith's brain imploded and he was useless.. zero adaptability.
you can't say Smith was NOT predictable too. 3rd down? Bye Henry. Now the defense knows we're throwing. Every goddamn time.

Well I'll just leave it at this. Best regular season Titans offense ever. Art helped us turn the corner for sure.
However, when the game was on the line Vrabel trusted the defense to get a stop more than he trusted the offense to gain 2 yards... with this prolific offense??
Arthur inherited a talented bunch that was underperforming because of QB play. He did a great job for us, but only time will tell how great he really was. I will admit he had me scratching my head a lot for being an offensive "guru".

I don’t know that he won’t be missed. But damn, it shouldn’t be hard to find better play calling than what we saw yesterday.
and truthfully- shane Bowen needs to GTFO as well.
The offense turned a big corner, was that due to Art? Tannehill?
But if true, and yesterday's display was because of Art not focusing and not being able to adapt? We're better off without him.
And we need a staff overhaul starting with a DC.

The Ravens made some nice adjustments on offense at halftime, sadly we made no adjustments at the half. In fact the play calling yesterday got worse as the game went on.

yeah can’t have overtime. Smith had a meeting to get to......
Until all the jobs are filled in a week or soSorry. I’m not buying it. Showing well yesterday gets him stronger consideration.
Then hes screwed
Art went away from what was working early (quick passing / play action) and kept stubbornly running Henry into a brick wall. By far his worst called game as OC.
Where did the empty set quick pass plays to Firkser go? Everyone knows Patrick Queen isn't great in pass coverage but we stopped targeting him.
Where was the RPO read option stuff with Tannehill 'keeper' runs?
Where were the sweep / toss plays?
No screens to Batson / anyone fast?
Try an end around with AJ like we did a year ago?
No use of Evans' speed?
No designed plays for Davis or Jonnu?
Felt like we hardly ever passed on first down
We used a flea-flicker against Detroit and last year had Henry throw from the Wildcat. Not saying they are the answer or high percentage plays but compare that to this game... we couldn't get more imaginative than to run Henry for no gain every play in heavy set formations then get Tannehill killed on 3rd and long blitzes.
The real irony was when Henry has his only productive run and Art then went away from it for 2 low percentage plays on 2nd and 3rd and short, then punted!
Grade - F

Smith called a run on the second down. Tanny changed it at the line and later admitted the Ravens D fooled him.The real irony was when Henry has his only productive run and Art then went away from it for 2 low percentage plays on 2nd and 3rd and short, then punted!
Art rekt by tanny
And tannehill co signing my thoughts in art too, art is nothing without all this talent. We can only get better

It is because they feel with these tools any competent OC should have success. I am not sure they are wrong. But I get your point too.

Great post man. The offense really was atrocious and you do well pointing out all the things we failed to even attempt. The lack of creativity was obvious and abysmal.
