French coronavirus strain may be local and may not have come from China

Can't write that comedy. Such quality's gotta grow, it's organic.

Pro-tip: No, really. Turn off speech to text when you're, you know...
That’d be great if more investigations were completed but even this study states it is “impossible to conclude it was in France before China.”

not sure if this was supposed to prove something other than they are looking into other options besides starting in China.
I’m all for that (investigation in general).

By fighting sickness and death, got it?

Apparently not.

I get it... $ > lives.
We ain't saving chit by locking ourselves in our homes! Just prolonging exposure and ruining peoples businesses and lives. Use some common sense and get out of your basement.

Antibody Testing: Proves We've Been Had!

What do we know about the risk of dying from COVID-19?

Fact of the matter is, we have been given inaccurate information. The death rate of this disease is very low, and many deaths recorded as Corona deaths, were not verified. Just because someone had Rona, does not mean they died because of it. If you are old or have previous illnesses that Rona can take advantage of, stay home! Quarantine yourselves, and us healthy individuals will keep grinding.

Our intelligence community (IC) concluded the virus was not man-made or genetically modified. The IC have not concluded whether or not the virus was, though natural, kept in and then "escaped" from a lab, and are apparently investigating such.

As soon as Tweety and Palpatine volunteer to run a register and moonlight in ERs, i'll reconsider my opposition to opening up this early.

Mississippi governor says he changed his mind on reopening after increase in coronavirus cases

I guess there’s room for debate among the ICs or was there a different community you were referring to.
Report: Majority of US intelligence agencies believe COVID-19 originated in Wuhan lab

But it is the government's job to protect it's people from others.

Only if a crime has been committed. Otherwise the onus is on a plaintiff (not the government) to bring a civil suit against someone they claim has damaged them in some way.

that’s nothing like this mandated stay at home has ever occurred except in times of war. It’s a very dangerous and slippery slope (IMO) to initiate a precedent whereby the government very definitely restricts the first amendment rights of some under the rationalization that it is “protecting” others with debatable results.

the denominator of incidence will go way up When antibody testing becomes widely available. It WILL reveal a more accurate mortality which will be lower than currently reported. Most likely still a bit higher than flu, but not nearly to the degree as reported what is true is that segments of our population do indeed have mortality rates from the disease. And that is going to generate a lot of sticky discussion on how to shape future public policy.

Yep, but if proper precautions are taken, not as much.

The beaches in Florida remaining open like they were was borderline retarded.

If you as an individual follow the precautions, you’ll be fine. If you insist your loved ones follow the precautions, they’ll be fine. So why worry about others who get infected if they don’t? They either get better or those ignoramuses die and get what they deserve.

DON’T buy into all this fear mongering. You’re getting played.

As of yesterday, reports of death are 90% over 70 years of age, and most of those had pre existing illness. Used to be we quarantined the sick, not the healthy. Antibody testing will indeed prove that this disease isn't nearly as fatal as current numbers. Yes, it is deadly, and certainly more so than the flu. I certainly agree with that. However, having our Government drunk on power is not the correct answer. Not allowing citizens to be in a boat in their own back yard, or unable to buy seeds. These cases will be won in the courts. How is Chic Filet considered essential when others are not. It's OK to rub elbows in Walmart, and have the Corona positive Arby's employee hand out thousands of bags to customers. There is no say on how these things were determined. On the whim of a Governor is not good enough.
