As he should have but where did you see that? I thought Josh Allen won?
Offensive player of the year: Derrick Henry
this says he “should” be OPOY
In 1998 Brett Favre led the NFL with 4212 pass yards, 31 TD, 23 INTHeard a good argument for Henry as MVP (I think it was on Get Up?) ; only one of 2 players in history to have over 2k+ yards and 15+ tds (Terrell Davis in '98 - who won the MVP that year).
I mean what else does Henry have to do to win MVP?
Yet im sure hes 4th in the pecking order behind : Rodgers, Mahomes and Allen. Miswell change the award to the QBMVP.
In 2020 Aaron Rodgers has 4300 yards, 48 TD, 5 INT....
I wouldve picked Terrell Davis too.
Football issues aside, this is one of the most artful analogies I have seen in a very long time.Wouldn't that sorta be like a foreign film winning Best Picture, but losing Best Foreign Film..?
So... if the MVP isn't a Defensive or Special Teams player... Henry will get robbed.

There are several instances over the past few years where OPOY and MVP were different offensive players
In other words... dumb. There are several instances over the past few years where OPOY and MVP were different offensive players
Not really....happens in the NHL, MVP (Hart Trophy) can be different than Rocket Richard Trophy (Leading Scorer)In other words... dumb.
Maybe think of the NFL OPOY as having the best statistical year?
Maybe think of the NFL OPOY as having the best statistical year?
that already exists as "rushing title"
Thats just a title not an award besides what about WRs for rec yards?that already exists as "rushing title"
Play a different position.I mean what else does Henry have to do to win MVP?

Be more consistent. He starts the season off so slowly every year, then you look up, and he has 1500+ yards to end the year. In the first 8 games he had 5 games with 3.75 YPC or less. That's not going to put him on anyone's radar.
And the justification for him deserving the MVP is 2000 yards. Needing like 250 yards in week 17 to get to 2000 yards was on basically no one's radar because it was so unlikely. So he went from, "he's having a great season," to, "he's an MVP," with no one even knowing.
I think it's also that he doesn't add much in the passing game. He's more of just a runner, that has to come out on a lot of passing downs or stay in to block.Play a different position.

He's by far the best runner in the league, but some people continue to knock him for not being McCaffrey or Cooks.
Valid as well.I think it's also that he doesn't add much in the passing game. He's more of just a runner, that has to come out on a lot of passing downs or stay in to block.

CMC had 1300 yards rushing, 1000 yards receiving, and 19 total TDs last season. That's more scrimmage yards and TDs than Henry this season. Where's his MVP trophy?
I guess that’s why it should always go to a quarterback. They’ll always have more scrimmage yards and TDs than any other position. It is the MSY&TDP award for a reason.Valid as well.

So was Conklin...
A 2k yard rusher. The best QB season we've ever had. The #3 scoring offense in the league. What difference would he have made?So was Conklin...
No one needs an All-Pro RT. Everyone needs a functional one. We got a functional one for half the price. It was about the only thing JRob got right in the 2020 offseason.
Yea I'm with you. It was the right call. Was just pointing it out.A 2k yard rusher. The best QB season we've ever had. The #3 scoring offense in the league. What difference would he have made?

If we signed Conklin we would still have all that...
But we wouldn't of signed Clowney and Beasley and we would be missing all their sacks....all 0 zero of them

And we'd be on the hook for his salary the next two years instead of paying his replacement half.If we signed Conklin we would still have all that...

If we kept Conklin we wouldn't have drafted Wilson, probably would have drafted someone to actually help the DAnd we'd be on the hook for his salary the next two years instead of paying his replacement half.
