People like myself generally don’t care as long as the team is winning and that person is a role in the success.
Time will pass, he will be a meme for awhile, then someone else will come along and take the spotlight.
I know what tiger Woods did was different but the immediate backlash was his cheating and with multiple women. He claimed s x addict, some people still don’t like him, but in general, he was cheered on in the golf world and people were glad to see him back.
1. Tigers stuff was pre me too. It's a different time now.
2. Tigers transgressions were merely infidelity. All consensual. There were no allegations of assault.
Good for usLol....they should have traded him months ago...I hope trying to get his wanky yanked was worth it
That’s fair, but I’m also willing to bet that the biggest supporters (most active) aren’t NFL fans either.1. Tigers stuff was pre me too. It's a different time now.

Again, if convicted, what he did is t ok BUT I see him getting a celebrity slap on the wrist, a celebrity style “recovery” from what I expect to hear, he’s a sex addict, and after a short time away 1-2 maybe 3 years, he gets another shot in the NFL, maybe as a backup at first.
When that happens, you’ll see the immediate outcry of some fans “I won’t support my team if they sign him” but ultimately will support their team and even more, will entirely change their tune if Watson becomes a reason why their team is winning.
We’ve just seen this process before. “People” don’t really care overall. There is a group of very vocal people but I hardly think they make up any majority to actually effect a potential return, if convicted, even a couple years later.
I don't know. A sex addict is one thing, but a convicted sexual predator is an entirely different thing. That’s fair, but I’m also willing to bet that the biggest supporters (most active) aren’t NFL fans either.

Yea.. I don’t see the slap on the wrist coming at all. I expect charges to be filed and the NFL placing him on the Commissioners Exempt list for 2021 at minimum. Read the complaints that are being filed. Buzbee is attacking the NFL as well for fostering a culture that condones this behavior. I think the NFL will make an example out him. If he is convicted of Sexual Assualt I don’t think he ever plays in the NFL again.

That is a good point.
This is a bigger deal than usual because this all happened at NFL facilities. If this happened at any other private or public sector job that person would be fired permanently.

I think you are also overlooking the massive female NFL fanbase that the NFL has been working hard to build more and more.
Hell, at this point my wife might be a bigger Titans fan than I am.
Didn’t realize it was in team facilities that these incidents are said to have happenedThat is a good point.

I don’t think they are.
However Watson did serially violate the leagues COVID policy and I am sure there will be punishment to him and the team because of that at minimum.
Biggest issue with the Tiger women were they all looked like men.1. Tigers stuff was pre me too. It's a different time now.

it wasnt at the facilities.. but.. at least 1 of the "victims" was referred to Watson by a team trainer, and there might have been another who was referred through a member of the staff. Definitely one was though.Didn’t realize it was in team facilities that these incidents are said to have happened

I guess I just assumed they were at team facilities

Some of them were MILF porn stars
Covid punishment will be Jack s**t at best. Literally no one is concerned about that.I don’t think they are.

NFL only cares about money, they don’t care who the fans are.I think you are also overlooking the massive female NFL fanbase that the NFL has been working hard to build more and more.

they’ll try to put themselves in the best light possible to avoid any “wokeness” fights but not only do I not see viewership dropping from Watson playing (provided he serves some sentence like Vick) but people in general will have moved on to other people and problems. Watson will be in the rear view mirror with a brief exception to when he physically gets re-signed somewhere.
NFL will lay down the law for at least a short time. He won’t have a permanent ban or anything.Yea.. I don’t see the slap on the wrist coming at all. ray rice was caught on video decking a woman and was suspended. His ultimate disappearance from the NFL was due to the magic “30” and being a RB.
Agree in general BUT will fans actually boycott the NFL or even more “their team” if Watson is signed? I personally don’t think so.I don't know. A sex addict is one thing, but a convicted sexual predator is an entirely different thing.
People will still hate him or whatever but they won’t stop tuning in.
this is still of course in the scenario he is actually convicted. I think my points holds even more true if it’s settled or less punishment.
That man was hitting up Denny's for girls! Worth a billion dollars and getting "eggs over my hammy"Biggest issue with the Tiger women were they all looked like men.
So Watson's lawyer apparently has 18 women saying that they had no issues when giving Watson a massage..
I just am not sure if that actually helps Watson's case at all.. so now we are up to 39 confirmed women giving him massages in the past year. 40 if you count the SI woman.
That seems to drive home how much of a fetish he has.
