The Browns aren't even that loaded on defense. Garret is a HoF talent, and Za'Darius Smith and Denzil Ward are pretty good, but aside from that, Schwartz has a slightly above average roster playing like an all time great defense.
Schwartz is obviously a proven, solid DC. Why in the hell would let him walk, to keep Bowen? Someone who is clearly not nearly as capable.
I recall a couple fighting about this since Schwartz was just a “consultant” or whatever.

Disagree completely. Garret is the #1 EDGE in the league IMO. Zadarius is a 3x Pro bowler and All Pro. Ward is a 2x Pro Bowler. Dalvin Thomlinson is one of the best NT in the league. Greg Newsome II is an outstanding young CB. Grant Delpit is possibly the best young safety in the league and you add in JOK and Anthony Walker and you have a defense LOADED with star power.
How much of this is henry being off on obvious passing situations tho. Obviously the passing numbers are going to be gross on third and longs, while chasing leads. Etc.
