Its tough to criticize Titans fans. A lot of them were backing other teams prior to the arrive of the Titans. Then they had to decide whether they would remain loyal to their old team, or, be loyal to the home town team. Then we had Bud to deal with. He obviously looked at this team as a 'business' and treated it as such. We weren't fans, we were customers. When the company, (Titans), stopped putting a product on the table worth investing in, the 'customers' stopped coming. If they want their 'customers' back, they need to offer something in return. This years draft will probably bring a lot of the old fans back.
Thats a good way to spin it, and truthfully as bad as we all dream of a Super Bowl win, them just fielding a competitive team is enough... Its about entertainment, if I can get 17 weeks of fun Im happy, usually we only get 7 or 8 weeks of fun, then by that time we know what we're about, I just want a team I can turn on every weekend and get some joy from watching, even if they lose in the end.... We don't necessarily need a super bowl, but some playoff appearances wouldn't hurt.
Last time we had a playoff worthy record, we got shafted by Tebow mania.....
Screwed because an 8-8 team was making a fuss, when we did one better... like how the bills got fudged last season.

winning the division should count for something. I think the NFL has it right by rewarding the division winner with a home game

Most definitely. That said, they could go back to the old MLB non-wild card system and I'd be happy. Earn your postseason throughout the season - not just getting hot at the very end.

I would have no problem with it.
but TV PO games are like printing money so it wont happen.
I think they will go the other way and make an additional WC team with only the Conference best record getting a bye and the other 3 teams playing in the WC week.
Would love to see 2 exhibition games just go away. Total waste of everything
The Titans are going to get an influx of Oregon grads/fans, like me. There is an organizational philosophy in Eugene that makes you a Duck for life, due to the consistency of the coaching staff over the years.
The Titans would have drafted Leonard Williams, Dante Fowler, or Amari Cooper, had they been convinced that Zach Mettenberger was the QB to lead the Titans to a SB victory.
There are always contrarians, but I read stuff about Mettenberg being the next Tom Brady, and I just don't get it. Is there really a QB controversy, and the coaches decided to screw over ZM? I just don't see that as factual, and the reports from OTAs are that the team is rallying around Mariota. I wonder if that has anything to do with ZM mouthing off all summer. It's what got him kicked out of UGA, so why would he change?

But...
He's got a point. If Zach was valued as much as some of the Titan fans want to value him by the organization, Marcus Mariota wouldn't be in town. They clearly had other needs they needed to address. In the end, they think they got Peyton Manning. Andrew Luck. Aaron Rodgers in Marcus Mariota.
