Sharpe had more worth than anyone wants to admit. Hump is a pure slot guy (for the most part) and the speed guys are brought in for specific plays most of the time.

Sharpe was the main replacement for davis and brown.

Is he needed? No, but he did his job well.

So let's see here Titans had 54.5 million end of the season. Cuts to Delanie Walker, Ryan Succop, Dion Lewis, and Cameron Wake brought that total to 71.5 million. Trading away Jurrell Casey got it to 83 million and change.
free agents and how much they signed for:
Jack Conklin- 3 year 42 mill= 14 million per year
Tajae Sharpe- 1 year 1 mill
Derrick Henry- 1 year 10 mill
Ryan Tannehill- 4 year 118 mill= 29.5 million per year
Logan Ryan- TBD (hypothetically 10 mill per year)
Vic Beasley- 1 year 9.5 million

If we had kept everyone together AND added Beasley we would STILL have 9 million left in cap space............. assuming we got rid of Walker, Succop, Lewis, Wake, and Casey.

Sharpe had a good year stat wise...if you add up all 3 seasons he played.

25 catches, 300 yards and 4 TDs last season. If that cant be replaced then something is wrong.

He had some clutch catches here and there and I liked the guy but he's extremely overrated on this forum. Lol

Yea man you could even throw in Dennis Kelly 3 mill per year and you still got 6 million left in space.

So you want the Titans to spend every penny of the cap to keep the likes of Tajae Sharpe?

That's not how NFL teams operate unless you want the Titans in cap hell.

Who's to say Sharpe even wanted to sign with the Titans? Could very well have had an offer and decided to go elsewhere for an opportunity to be more than a 25 catch a season WR like he was/would be in TN.

That is why I said he is replaceable. All I said was outside of aj and davis he was the only true outside guy we had. Finding a backup outside guy in fa or the draft wont be hard.

1 million dollars is every penny of the cap? You are living up to that name mitch with math skills like that!

Shut your whore mouth! Thou shalt not blaspheme.

You forgot the part where you added it all up and came up with like 6m left. And you didn't add in the draft class...

Again, the dude probably wanted to move on and try to get a bit payday somewhere he'd get more chances. So it really doesn't matter if it was 1m or 10m, he's gone.

Sharpe proved to be serviceable and a steal where we got him. He’s not a big playmaker, but good hands and moves the chains often. He will do well, but imo, he’s a #3/4 kinda guy. I guess we will see.

I uno why but losing Tajae kinda blows in a way. I know they can probably fill the void with a rookie but CD has been meh , Hump has been a bust signing to this point and Raymond had that one huge play in playoffs. Hoping they have a direction/plan because Tajae would have been cheap ... Squirreling money away for Henry or what??
