1/2 already cut lolBoth may have some trade value to a defense needy team like Chicago.
On one hand, why would they give up trade assets for someone they could sign on the open market if we cut him? Here are the current Chicago edge rushers. If I’m the Bears I’d happily give a mid round pick for Bud.

On the other hand, if they don't trade for him, he may not want to go there.
His contract wouldn't exactly be cheap, but trading still has its benefits. If traded, his salary is $17M, $16M, and $15.5M over the next 3 years, which would be his cap number too.
On the positive side, they could cut him at any point with no dead money. Which they wouldn't get to do if they gave him any kind of signing bonus on anything more than a 1 year deal.
Cunningham was just cut too.
These cuts now have us with $12.4M in cap space.
We could get up to $46M in cap space if we:

- Restructure/Extend Henry would free up another ~$6M
- Restructuring Tannehill would open up another $17M

Wr love playing for Vrabel
Looks like Woods is happy to be out of TN
They are not going to restructure Tannehill. No way they want to be tied to him longer or make it more expensive to release him after this season. Doubt they will with Henry as well. He’s almost 30 and his best days are behind him.Cunningham was just cut too.

How we pay Simmons 25+ million is beyond me. We have too many holes to commit that much to one player at his position.
Cutting Cunningham is a no-brainer. It saves like $9 and he was not good in his time here.
I almost wonder if we can restructure Dupree or get him to take a pay cut. We have SO many holes and like 6 draft picks.
Cut him
Taylor Lewan has missed 34 of last 66 games
Robert Woods averaged 9.9 yards/catch, had 2 TDs
Zach Cunningham played in 6 games
Randy Bullock was 3 for 6 from 47+
saved $37.9M

All expected cuts... A little more fat to trim still. At least Ran sees the obvious so far.
They are going to have to clear a lot more than this to even put together a team. Going to be a rough season I’m guessing. Might be smart to tank for #1. I’ll trade one bad season for 15 great ones with a star QB.All this cap clearing makes me think Carr is incoming lol.

Had to be done. Nothing has happened so far that surprises any of us so far.
If we cut Dupree, Jemarco Jones and Ben Jones retires, we will have $152 million in cap space in 2024. Good lawd! We could sign anyone we want this off-season and just backload their contracts.
Oddly, it costs more to cut Jones than to keep him. It would make sense to give him a shot (if finally healthy) given how sparse the OL roster is.If we cut Dupree, Jemarco Jones and Ben Jones retires, we will have $152 million in cap space in 2024. I’m not so sure about that. I doubt they want to roll with either Willis or Josh. I suppose that could sign a bridge guy like Menshew or Jacoby, but they still need a young gun to cultivate and I’m don’t see where that guys comes from right now. Tanking isn’t going to happen if for no other reason than Vrabel’s ego wouldn’t allow him to do that. They are not going to restructure Tannehill. Projections show that the Titans should have north of $90 million in cap space in 2024. We may have to take it on the chin this year and just deal with the mess J-Rob left us in. But that may actually play to our favor - it's a strong QB class next year (much better than this year), plus $90 million to work with to build your team and we could see a quick turn-around.
EDIT: Correction - $122 million in cap space for 2024.

It's the same way with Farley's contract too. Would literally cost us more if we cut him.Oddly, it costs more to cut Jones than to keep him. It would make sense to give him a shot (if finally healthy) given how sparse the OL roster is.
I always forget about Jemarco, but maybe he can surprise us and fill one of the guard spots.
I was a big fan of Lewan for a long time. It sucks it ended like it did (PEDs, injuries, ect)
Can't pay him what he was making but he was a fun player for quite some time.

Would you want to play WR for this team? Especially in last year's state?
