It’s a good move. Injuries have piled up, hopefully this looks even better after AJ25 comes back and maybe Fulton is able to play like the solid pick he is supposed to be.

Now, a DC to not play them out of position entire games at a time.
And someone mentioned “starter” Jack Crawford needing replaced....

I like this trade and have always liked Desmond King. He's only 25 too. Seems like he's older and been around for a while.

These are the type of deals you need to make midseason in order to help your team out in certain situations.

Doubt JRob would've made this trade had in won in Cincinnati yesterday.

I don't know.. $1m ain't much in the grand scheme of things. I just hope there isn't off field issues. Him tweeting about playing time is already a red flag, but he's kind of justified. If that is all there is, then this was a no-brainer.

$1 million aint much? LOL

MLB owners reported like a $4 billion loss this year. Owners are going to penny pinch where they can to try and limit the damage as much as they can.

Gotta love this move. Giving up basically nothing, and once jackson is back we go from Butler being our #1 corner to our #3. Should pay huge dividends even if it's only a half year rental.

I am concerned though that our D is hurting because of scheme/coaching not talent and this ends up being a neutral move. But at least it shows that they are trying to fix things.

Cant dislike this move.

If he plays well and we lose him to someone else, well then we got a 1/2 season rental for not much, and he played well!

If we keep him long term then awesome. Its win win.

I prefer this to a trade for Gilmore, who people on here were clamouring for. Dude is 30 and compensation would have been far more than this trade.

King is 25, this is the type of move a good GM makes to keep its team relevant year after year. A trade for Gilmore would have signalled an all-in mentality, leading us more likely to blow things up and start again in a few years time.

I bet this trade had been in the works for at least couple days with LA listening to other offers. King didn't play this weekend is an indicator that conversations were being had. Things don't just happen as instantly as us fans want it to.

Please tell me this results in Jonathan Joseph being cut. Hate for a man to lose a job, but when they have performed this poorly, they deserve to be fired.

Need Joseph for depth. He can be useful as the 5th or 6th corner on the roster. He just isn't a starter. Unfortunately, until Jackson and Fulton get back to 100%, he's gonna be out there, imo.

I think an understated part of this is how this can help our run defense as well. When you’ve got a DB who can tackle and make plays on the edges it helps funnel things inside where our big guys can make plays.

Seems like teams are using sweeps and runs to the edges a lot more this year. Makes sense when our DB’s are missing tackles left and right.

Desmond King has allowed just 0.3 yards per coverage snap this season, almost half the amount of any other slot CB this season (min. 60 coverage snaps).

The other nice bonus here is he is a very good punt returner and we could sure use that around here! If we can get off the field on third down.

Great trade and I too really wanted us to draft him in 2017. Nice move by J-Rob
