Hard to judge something that will only be 1 season vs something that was on for 5 seasons. I would say True Detective has been as good to me as any individual season of Breaking Bad. But that's to say they were both excellent.
I dunno True Detective may stand out more to me. Have to see how it ends though.

I totally agree. I saw the first couple of episodes of Breaking Bad when it first aired and then dropped it. I have then re-watched it his winter after it ended and it's a lot better, when the story continues.
Breaking Bad season 1 is miles away from current shows like True Detective, House of Cards, Homeland (season 1, the quality has dropped since then).

True Detective will have more seasons, just not with this particular story or set of actors..
There is a bit of David Lynch going on in this show - great stuff..
OH yeah I know, it's just hard to consider it to be the same show considering next season will be brand new story and brand new characters, and I assume Woody and Matthew are not involved at all? Or will they produce next season?
No idea.. They will have to rework the intro which I hate seeing change. Probably change the song too..

I'm about to catch up and watch episode 6 and 7 to be caught up for the finale on Sunday.
That's not really a true TV show. It's a reality show with no story nor acting.
Even more reason Arrow and Flash need to join the DC Cinematic Universe
Manu owns the Deathstroke role. By far the best character on the show.
I think we will know by the end of this season if Arrow and Flash will connect with Man of Steel.

Arrow definitely but I'm in a wait and see on Flash (costume looks great, worried about the actor). I kind of wish DC would wait for another Batman movie and then throw Arrow in there but I'm afraid by then it'll be too late and the TV series will be just about over with. Mixing him in the current Man of Steel series is a bit risky as far as storyline goes, for instance, where was he in the first movie? I also really enjoy seeing Arrow take on some of Batman's villains, I don't want Superman's villains to start flying in from other planets. Keep it along the lines of Deathstroke, Deadshot, Suicide Squad, etc. don't get too crazy.
I wonder how big a ratings spike and increase in budget Arrow would see if Green Arrow did make an appearance in the next movie?
