There was really nothing wrong with it. It's better than 2 and 3 of the 90s versions.

Haven't seen the new one yet though.
I mean it had some issues. But for a summer popcorn movie about ninja turtles it was fun.

I think it got unfairly **** on "because remake" and "because Michael Bay".

It totally bombed in the US. Fortunately China picked it up with over $150 million in five days. Probably enough to warrant a sequel.
That's why we keep getting that Resident Evil schlock.

Earns back its budget in the US, makes a killing overseas.

Ever wonder why a lot of random movies go to Chinatown or have some sort of connection to Chinese culture, even if it is minimal? To appeal to a huge Asian market.

I think they are sitting at around 300 total now so hopefully there is a sequel. If they can bring that magic to Illidan or Lich king, it would be great.

They knew China would be where they made their money.

I was surprised at how well the movie was. I knew id like it but i ended up loving it.

A bit lore nitpicking aside, they did a good job

Go on the Internet to find pictures of her... those movies are cashgrab trash.

They need to reboot that series without Anderson and actually make a movie truly based on the game. A similar tone and style, at the very least.

A reboot of a sub mediocre movie series based on a video game. Just sounds like a terrible idea.

They are apparently rebooting Friday the 13th again. IMO they should have just continued with the sequels, where it's Ok to be terrible. It's expected.
These reboots end up orphans - just like RZ' Halloween, that wretched Elm Street and the Evil Dead remake etc.

I actually thought the F13 reboot was decent fun. I honestly liked it better than several of the original run. Didn't really mind RZ Halloween either. Elm Street was indeed terrible though.

If the original Resident Evil had stayed more true to what made the game such a hit - honestly, it would be totally up your alley - I would agree with you.

The atmosphere and general mystery was so strong... and the movie(s) didn't utilize any of it.

I'm fine with reboots to an extent... reboot poorly done movies and reVISIT older movies for a new generation - even though this is debatable. Some just should be left alone, but that's grey area.

I see some movies from the 80's and think "they should remake this with better effects and action, BUT to cleanup the story and writing... pace it properly."

Most recent flick I caught was Krull. Fun flick... but it could be dramatically improved.
