He might not even come back to football42-37
1 very good season with SB win and then 9-7, 9-7 and 4-11
And why did Philly fire him?
He got fired out of left field. But Id bet you he wont be an OC if hes back. That guy is a HC
Would love to switch to a 4-3 and hire either Matt Patricia or Dan Quinn.
I like the 4-3 defense more as well
Doug Pederson for OC?
Problem with that ; it would be a one year hire. He will be a HC again eventually so that would be 3 different OC for Tannehill in 3 years by 2022. Wed have an Alex Smith situation on our hands.
Frank Reich is the difference maker here. When he left Philly they got worse and the Colts got better.42-37

I believe Pederson would be better off taking an OC job for now...part of me thinks he may not have a choiceFrank Reich is the difference maker here. When he left Philly they got worse and the Colts got better.
For OC I’m hoping we can pluck someone from the Shanahan tree, maybe even Lafleur’s brother. For DC just please not the likes of Patricia and Quinn (thankfully off the market) or some other retread who is living off their earlier DC days and fielded terrible defensive units when they had their own team.

Tannehill is a veteran who can handle it. It’s different with like Mariota who had 52 different systems in his first 4 years.
Hire ANYBODY that'll get them out of that goddamn 3-4. Hate that shit.Would love to switch to a 4-3 and hire either Matt Patricia or Dan Quinn.
My concern is that Vrabel seems to think the complaint was that nobody had the official title of DC, not that the person who did the job was shit at it...

Vrabel thinks he Bill Bellicheck but he has does not have Bellicheck's resume and he sure as hell is not some kind of defensive genius. I've said before, and I'll say it again, Vrabel's ego will likely be his undoing as a coach.
Regarding hiring a DC, I think Robinson will force Vrabel to actually hire a real DC this offseason and not allow him to hire some lackey in house.
I don't get it. Are we talking hair styles, sex changes, plastic surgery, or are we looking at personnel changes?
I honestly dont believe Vrabel realizes just how awful the defense is.. I think he is looking through "parent goggles". He sees the numbers but thinks the numbers dont really represent the defense. Sort of a "if we had made a play here, or got a stop there, defense would look a lot better". But no, thats not it, the scheme is crap, communication is crap, organization is crap, everything is crap.My concern is that Vrabel seems to think the complaint was that nobody had the official title of DC, not that the person who did the job was **** at it...
If we promote from within it is probably Haslett although our ILBs played terribly. Need to bring in someone new. I'll be very annoyed if Pees unretires and coaches someone else. He's the no brainer choice.Bowen? Noooooooo

Tell that to Vrabel. We need to go outside the organization for OC and DC
Eight candidates to replace Mike Nolan as Cowboys defensive coordinator
I don't mind the 3-4 and actually like the multiple fronts Pees installed. From this list, James Bettcher and Chris Hewitt are interesting.
Still think/hope there is a chance Pees comes back.

Pees is 71, maybe as a defensive consultant but not a DC, for him to retire again next year?
Id rather get someone younger and add some continuity the staff

I think hes been mentioned here already but we should consider Jerod Mayo for DC.
