Art just called his worst game of the season by far

CD just played his worst game of the season

We might just keep our oc and wr2 afterall lol

Id be willing to keep CD if we can sign him for under 6mil a year. Otherwise Adios. We can just put a TE in his position to block up the field and replace him.

How do we know Vrabel isn't the one pressuring Art to keep pounding Henry on first down? Maybe that's why LeFleur was so quick to bail?

This was the most vanilla gameplan I've ever seen from an offense in the playoffs. Pleaseeee someone hire him!!!

Before folks kept pointing out that with Smith as OC our offense was the best it's ever been. Today he showed his inconsistencies. The 1st drive was great then it was nothing afterwards. While Henry and Brown are our biggest playmakers, Smith's inability to get other capable guys involved or in some kind of rhythm has been our source of struggles on the offense. Whoever hires him as an OC goodluck.

He won’t get hired by another team except as a HC.

We need to remember the Titans O had its best total performance since the franchise moved to Tennessee. Even with CJ in his prime or when McNair was the co-MVP was the offense as effective.

He did this with a #3 LT and Tanny’s top third-down WR out most the season. I think both were big reasons the offense struggled today.

It drove me nuts there wasn’t more play-action on first down and creativity in general today but I give Smith a lot of credit for the Titans even making the playoffs with as bad as the defense was this season.

Sure but he also inherited a talented group. I guess time will tell how valuable Smith was (because he’s 100% gone).

Remember this offense didn’t look any different from LaFluer until Tannehill took over.

Smith helped us take it to the next level but take today for an example. He made ZERO adjustments to what the Ravens did. Zero!! Not the first time something like this happened either.

It’ll be interesting to see who Vrabel goes after and where this offense can go from here.

Titan Jeff i hear you and I'm aware that we had a lot of injuries and Lewan being out was a major. But you said what I'm saying: no creative play calling. All the games I were able to attend before Covid I would just look at the routes and situations during the game and be like wtf?

By far the best games he ever executed were against the Pats and Ravens last year. Anytime the opposing stuffs Henry we're at a standstill offensively. Usually the D puts us in a hole but today it was the opposite. He's accomplished a lot but to me he is unable to adjust until it's too late in big games. Hopefully the next OC can bring out the best in our offense.

Why are you speaking as though Smith is gone? Did I miss something?

I saw a Ravens defense have an answer to everything the Titans did today. What do you think Smith should have done differently? Henry had no room. Tanny stayed under pressure.

I don’t like forcing Henry so much on first down but it’s not like Smith didn’t call for some deeper shots.

They had an answer for all 3 things we tried.

Could have done a sweep to AJ or CD. Screen to Jonnu. Roll out Tannehill. There are options

He was so fucking vanilla and predictable today

The Titans biggest mistake on offense was continuing to run the ball on first down against a Ravens defense that was keeping 8/9 and sometimes 10 men in the box. This was a game begging for a lot of rollouts and play action passes on first down.

The amount that the Titans run on first down has been an issue quite a bit this season. It forces the Titans into obvious passing situations when Henry is stopped for a yard or so and the Titans OL is not great at pass blocking, more so because Lewan has been out.

When the Titans scored their lone TD, it was because the passing game overcame the lack of running yards on first down. After going up 10-0, those runs started happening on both first and second down and Tannenhill was getting killed on obvious third down passes. It was a bad gameplan from the get go that got worse when the Titans offense got even more conservative when they got up by 10.
