I wonder if Clowney knows he isn't physcially ready yet, knows he can't pass a physical, and is keeping his number high as an excuse instead of saying he isn't ready yet.

Cam is fragile in the mind, so while he's an elite backup, he don't wanna be that, and that's a disaster waiting to happen. We need a backup who is a backup. Think he does fit our scheme though. Strong arm with some inaccuracy. That's what we need coming off the bench. His lack of heart is troublesome. He wants to win as bad as anyone, wears it, but won't dive for a fumble. Makes no sense. Don't see it as a good fit.

I lost any respect for him when that happened. For a guy calling himself superman witha rep for being though to bitch out in the superbowl was pathetic.

Really needing a replacement for Casey with immediate impact. Imagine Simmons goes down with something serious 6+weeks. Who we even got for d line. Simmons and Jones. Still pretty thin.

Guess we be nickel and dimeing.

The market has decided....he's not worth more than 10/12 million. That said, if a team gives in and drops 18 million on a long term deal, then they would be taking a big risk. At this point you would need to conclude, and taking into consideration that at least 7 general managers have looked into Clowney and are not willing to pay....his best years are behind him because of issues with chronic injuries. Tennessee offered 10 million 1 year deal for him to prove otherwise....he's desperately trying to cash in, however that boat has sailed.

Vrabel is the king of saying a lot while saying absolutely nothing.
Thats a lot of coaches tho. Very few open and honest coaches around. Bruce Arians is probably the only straight shooter in the NFL that tells it like it is. And he has no connections to the Patriots, unlike Vrabel over here talking us in circles.

But he sometimes hints at the truth. Like going into FA he spoke about getting younger and faster. And what did we do, cut vets not living up to their deals and drafted faster guys to replace them.
