If there are actual text messages then these claims arent baseless. I agree we should wait and see with all of this, but that goes both ways. You should probably wait and see before calling the claims baseless and a smear campaign as well.
Other people have said this, but not all masseuses are prostitutes. There is most certainly a legitimate industry with masseuses, including going to peoples residences.
BIll Cosby had a great record of community service too. I am not saying Deshaun is Cosby, and we should wait until all the information comes out, but appearing to be a nice guy in front of the cameras and newspapers to a public that doesnt know you personally, is pretty meaningless.

The Colts have done nothing. They added Wentz and that’s pretty much it. They have lost players. I don’t get what they are doing.
That you are still holding out that somehow his is a scam is silly. They have released some of the text messages and he apologized to one of the women. They have paper proof. They have DMs. Text Messages. The NFL and now the Harris County DA and HPD have the criminal case and are investigating.
I complete agree innocent until proven guilty. But this is so clearly not a scam by the lawyer or the Texans. Watson did something, either really really stupid and troubling or criminal. There is no other choices now. This isn’t a made up conspiracy.
That's an excellent point. But the timing of the allegations and all the circumstances involved is what makes this whole situation shady. The Texans could've gotten a King's ransom for Deshaun and chose not to entertain any offers. The Texans know they have a franchise QB which is why they signed him and included the no trade clause. They don't want him to go anywhere.
Now however it seems like the Texans don't want him to play ANYWHERE imo. What was so hard about the FO including him in the process of signing a Head Coach? Clearly if the Texans FO and ownership had real intentions

Calm down. I didn’t it was a scam by the Texans. I said there are influences in this entire story that are driven by money. I do have a degree of impunity for an industry that makes it living off of rubbing another persons muscles. And it is naive to think there isn’t a degree of sexuality in “home masseuses”. There’s a reason people talk about “happy endings.” I am near certain something happened to give DW the wrong impression on some of these but I wholeheartedly don’t think these allegations are driven entirely by DW having a criminal intent.
This says a lot more about you than it does about anyone actually involved in the situation.

My prayer for you is that you don’t have any women in your family or close to you that are victimized by a man in any way simply by virtue of them being women or doing their jobs. It’s clear you have certain very old ideas about sexual assault and why it happens. Let me be perfectly clear, sexual assault is about power not sex. It’s not about what they are wearing how they look. It’s violence not sex.
