Why in the world would the chargers hire the rams DC over Daboll of the Bills? Daboll has done wonders with Allen and you would assume he would be great for Herbert.

Well, for one thing, they had just lost Foles and knew with Wentz’s injury history they better get another QB.
Daboll doesn’t really get much credit for Allen’s turnaround in my opinion. Josh Allen worked with a private QB coach in the offseason and tweaked his throwing motion.
You don’t draft a backup QB in round 2....

Actually, history has shown us you rarely get a starter in Round 2.
I could see the Rams dealing Goff (and picks) for Watson...they have the D and Goff seems like the weak link.

Somebody deserves the credit, Allen turn around in one year was remarkable! Daboll should get some of the credit.
Did you see back-up in my post? I said another QB. Hurt QB every year, hedging their bet. Smart teams do that.
Drew Brees sat for one year (like a lot of rookies did then). If Eagles wanted Wentz long term and they have him signed long term, why draft a QB round 2?
But QB’s in round 2 aren’t drafted to be backups.
