Welp, DH22 finally gets out of his slump, but his big day was overshadowed by his 2 lost fumbles. The first one was huge right before the half and a a momentum killer.

17/121 and Tammy with 250 2/1 would think a win right? Can’t win if you don’t have the ball. Crushing loss on a win that would have basically sealed the deal. We fielded a team of misfits and mothballs, while our “players” are on crutches! Hopefully we get healthy for the run.

Facts !!

At this point, it’s obvious defenses have figured out DH22 and our offense, and running him up the middle against 8 defenders isn’t working anymore. But what pisses me off about Downing is that DH22 is still a weapon if used correctly. Does he not realize DH22 is dangerous in the open field? Use him like Christian McCaffrey. You don’t need to force feed DH22 up the middle to get him 25 touches. Use him in the passing game, put him in screens, throw in some counters and sweeps. And stop taking him out automatically when it’s 3rd and 5.

DH22 is not a 1990’s power back. He’s a hybrid azz scat back in a big body.
Lol use henry like CMC? Henry is like a semi truck, he takes forever to get going.

11 carries
30 yards
0 TD

258 attempts (1st)
1078 yards (3rd)
10 TD (tied 3rd)
4.2 YPC (34th)

Is it out pitiful offense or are the wheels falling off, or a combination of both? Also of note henry broke 0 tackles vs the Eagles. First time that's happened in a long time.
17 carries
121 yards
1 TD

275 attempts (1st)
1199 yards (2nd)
11 TD (tied 3rd)
4.4 YPC (29th)

Also with henry fumbling twice he is now tied for second in the NFL for fumbles outside of QB's. The guy who is first? Was released because he was fumbling too much.

We now have a top 5 positional cap hit for an average back who fumbles too much. Yikes.

That is an absolutely laughable take.
Agreed

12 RB tied with 4 fumbles.
Only 4 of them have 150 carries.
Only 2 reached 200.
Henry is 55 carries ahead of #2.

that doesn’t take into account total touches and we know 1 of Henry’s fumbles was on a reception.
Fumbles per touch would be a much better way to look at it and 4 in its own right is a pretty low number. Although it is high for Henry’s career track record.

Fumbles are not a problem, blocking is

Henry has 15 career fumbles on 1800 touches... I don't think fumbling is an issue. Just happened to have a few knocked out this season. (Still not at his career high of 5 in a season)

don't understand why we take out our best offensive player pretty much automatically on third down's, especially on 3rd and 2 situations, you're pretty much letting the defense know there is zero chance we are running the ball.

All the way up to #1 for non-QB's =]
In a tie with other non QBs.

Here’s the fumble rate for the others with 4-5 fumbles:
Damien Pierce -4. 1 in 62 touches
Kamara -4. 1 in 54 touches
Pacheco -4. 1 in 44 touches
Etienne -5. 1 in 42 touches
Ekeler-4. 1 in 40 touches
Melvin Gordon -5. 1 in 23 touches
Montrell Washington -5. 1 in 11 touches
Amari Rodgers -5. 1 in 7 touches

Henry is absolutely fine. Bad year, sure. Far from a fumbling “issue”.

I’ll never understand that especially if they’ve tried to use him in the passing game and he clearly attracts so much attention.

If anything proves the offense is moron Vrabel offense, it is the Henry 3rd down and finishing games thing. That has been in play since Henry was drafted, regardless of OC. Vrabel takes Henry out, not the OC.

and honestly, Vrabel's stubborness is really making me start to dislike him. I may end up hoping we lose every single game next season to force a change if he isnt willing to make some changes and grow.

His fumbles are up, his ypc is down, his ypg is down, his big runs are down. He's fine, but just fine. If we had another piece on offense, that would be great but him as the focal point right now? It's not scaring anyone.

Also thanks for putting that list together it's interesting to see. Amari Rodgers is fucken hilarious.
