With 2 games vs Jags and 1 vs Texans on the schedule, it's possible
7 to go and 1 more Texans game
We do play the Texans again… :howdy::brow:
He'd have to go on an absolute beast streak. 17 games help but I'm going to say ~1800 yards is more realistic. But I'd like to see him add 8-10 more TDs
Agree. We’ve seen him hit hot streaks but not so much this year. Solid season for sure and absolutely making a case at rushing title #3 n 4 years. He'd have to go on an absolute beast streak. 17 games help but I'm going to say ~1800 yards is more realistic. But I'd like to see him add 8-10 more TDs
Plus the OLine hasn't been very helpful this season. The combo they used last game seemed much better.Agree. We’ve seen him hit hot streaks but not so much this year. Solid season for sure and absolutely making a case at rushing title #3 n 4 years.
passing game kept safetys a step further back than recently... seemed that way too me anyhow
The oline has actually been a bit above average run blocking:Plus the OLine hasn't been very helpful this season. The combo they used last game seemed much better.

Henry has been outstandingly average, which is kinda impressive considering he's been our only real weapon 90% of the season and Downing is about as creative as a thumb tack.
At the start of the week, Henry had a 57 yard lead on Barkley. Barkley got 39 yards.
Henry 1010
Barkley 992 (39 yards today)

Yeah the good ol PFF "best run blocking with his left toe facing the opposing head coach with a western wind at 12mph" BS, maybe. The oline has actually been a bit above average run blocking:

But if you watch the games, the OL is mostly trash. They've seemed to be getting better but there's a reason that a majority of Henry's yards have come after contact and he's not breaking the big runs.
Forget 2k, he won't even get the rushing title if Downing doesn't stop using bunch formations EVERY FUCKING TIME
Anyone other than Henry would have 500 yards max with this shit OL and run calls
Up the middle vs 11
Up the middle vs 10
Up the middle vs 14 bc why the fuck not
Zero adjustments from GB game

Pretty much. Don’t remember a single run where he actually had a hole to work with.

Is it out pitiful offense or are the wheels falling off, or a combination of both? Also of note henry broke 0 tackles vs the Eagles. First time that's happened in a long time.

He’s definitely lost a step (about to turn 29 with a lot of wear and tear and running backs age in dog years), even when he went through that 4 game hot streak, you can tell the straight line speed wasn’t there like before even though he’s still fast af. But he was still playing at an elite level for a span this season so I highly doubt he all of a sudden can’t play anymore. The blocking and playing calling has been pitiful for the last few games, maybe he’s mentally checked out after getting hit in the back so much. It’s honestly hard to really judge unless we get a game where he gets at least some subpar blocking. Then we can at least see how fast he’s hitting the holes and with some momentum, is he still able to drag tacklers for that extra 2 yards after contact like we’re used to seeing.
At this point, it’s obvious defenses have figured out DH22 and our offense, and running him up the middle against 8 defenders isn’t working anymore. But what pisses me off about Downing is that DH22 is still a weapon if used correctly. Does he not realize DH22 is dangerous in the open field? Use him like Christian McCaffrey. You don’t need to force feed DH22 up the middle to get him 25 touches. Use him in the passing game, put him in screens, throw in some counters and sweeps. And stop taking him out automatically when it’s 3rd and 5.
DH22 is not a 1990’s power back. He’s a hybrid azz scat back in a big body.

What made the running game and DH go in the last few seasons was a good run blocking OL. Teams knew the Titans were running it but they still couldn't stop it once DH got moving.
With this OLine, Henry is being hit at or behind the line with no chance to get moving. Easier to knock down a 6'2 250lb target when it's sitting still... Not so easy when it's running right at you with momentum.
