After a year of “decline” Henry had about 2000 all purpose yards. That’s second in the league. You aren’t replacing that with any running back. Arguing against that is just willful ignorance. Henry has been more productive than any player the last few years. Unless we get a first for him, it’s not worth trading him.

It's also not like we would save a TON of $ either. Almost zero reason to trade him.

makes all the sense in the world to move on from henry right now. we are not winning anything this year and this is probably the last offseason where he has actual value left. the OL is in shambles on top of that.

hate to see him go but it's the right move.

props to rev ran for having the stones to do it, or even to try to do it.

I absolutely get it... trade him one year before he declines -- but every OC we've had has hampered his ability to be a 3 down back -- and teams will use that in a trade negotiation for leverage.

oh well. he's gonna rot on our roster this year behind an absolutely s**t OL anyways. we are clearly in a rebuild right now and if you can get picks for your very highly paid, nearly 30 year old running back, you do it.

and I imagine thats gonna be the argument for a team to only offer a 3rd round pick or so..... just being a realist.

take the 3rd+ and run. jrob left this roster in a bad place. it's painful because henry was so good for us. but this is the spot we are in.

Only way I'd go less than 2nd would be is if we can get his contract off the books before free agency...

not sure if you've looked at the free agent class this year but it is not good. we likely aren't going to be able to make a big difference in the team either way with this FA class. I don't think having the cap space now vs next year really makes all that much of a difference honestly.

i think ran sees the same thing. if we didn't give dupree the june1 designation (no report that we did so far), it means we agreed to eat all his dead cap this year so we have none next year. he's loading up for cap NEXT season, not necessarily this season.

If Henry goes. We're in rebuild mode and getting new qb next year for sure. Getting rid of Henry either means they believe tanny and burks can burn defences (which they should be fired immediately if they say so) or they think we've got no hope with tanny, Henry and burks. You relying on a 2 or 3rd rd back to guarantee to put up Henry numbers is idiotic. Soo many holes to fill and your making more with lesser players. Realistically are you going to get more production, value etc with Henry's cap savings.

Might be rebuilding but still gotta be competitive.

I guess some fans are cool with 2014-2015 titans.

hope the magic goat comes around while we’re in “tank mode”.

man’s if that’s the outlook, what’s the point of renegotiating with Big Jeff? Should see his trade value, and Autry’s while we’re at it.

time to ride with the 2023 Mettenbergers and Sankeys. Probably find whoever is an expensive whiffin griffin just to meet minimum Cap numbers.

some fans see the team for what it is. not good. tanne isnt the guy and henry is OLD. trading away an aging rb with a bloated contract during a rebuild is smart business.

we have to reset and this is the smartest way to do it. it's the best thing for the team in the long term, not the short term. we were going to be bad this year no matter what, now at least we can make steps to correct it with extra picks and a buttload of cap space next year.

Yea get rid of the leagues best RB with nothing in place and 100 holes everywhere.
You’re the genius.
You’re unrealistic about the current situation. We aren’t going to be good this year. Better to prepare for the future now instead of trying to go 8-9 instead of 2-15.

Being stuck in the middle is the worst possible place you can be. You get stuck in purgatory where the Titans have spent most of their time.
